  1. Looks good
  2. Got inspired by a build on this site to build this. Probably wont do the shell design
  3. The "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" ISSUE! Cranky, that vid was loaded with special defects.
  4. Just hope they dont forget me this time
  5. James, dont be so hard on the air brush idea. I started making better models when i started using my A/b. if you dont want to be confused, dont read the next statement. I completly suck at hand brushing but have got tremendous results from my a/b. you get great control of the paint. the rattle cans are great but can cover up details quick. The air brush will fix that with small or large flow and great control. Takes a while to mask every thing off but no brush strokes or way to thick paint. Sorry i disobeyed your request but here is my oppion on paint I use mostly tamyia acrylics. Main reason why, time. Acrylics dry faster and cure faster. Gloss enamels take weeks to cure, three days in a dehydrator. Acrylics dont stink as bad. They can be thinned with water, alcohol or brand named thinner. The clean is up cheaper with just water or a bottle of .99 cent rubbing alcohol. Tamiya has a ton of diffrent colors. Check out their color chart As for painting bodies, i prefer lacquers
  6. I have not bought it yet but i will be getting what ever the current 1:12 mustang that is sold down at hobby lobby. I must likely will buy the tamyia 1:12 datsun 240 Ether way i cant wait to get a day off so i can ride down That old mustang would make an awesome build. I will be looking out for one of those too
  7. It is funny that you are changing a ecto to a hearse and it is the coolest thing. But if they never made the ecto it would be the coolest thing to turn a hearse into an ecto Ether way it is cool. I have a ecto with hopes of making it into a ecto prostreet tubbed out beast
  8. Ahh yes. This one will prove way more difficult that the last r34 you built. But i think you will be abel to hit a home run on it
  9. The gauges are outstanding and those decals made my skin craw for a quick second
  10. I think the only have a few hobby town usa shops and the big box craft stores. I dont know of any local owned model shops in cht Sorry you got your hopes up
  11. "DO NOT USE LACQUER THINNER DIRECTLY ON PLASTIC PARTS!!!" That is s epic statement (understatement) Good looking car up top there. Looks great in black
  12. I decided that i needed to cut the coil packs off and run some wires It was a lot harder than i thought These things agravated me to death. Good news was there were 6 on each head not the normal 4 I added some MAF sensor wires too
  13. The front fenders would only go on one way. They have notches cut out to fit the bumper and tabs at the bottom that complete the front spoiler. But now that you mention it, it does look kinda strange. Any way, thanks to everybody for looking and the kind comments
  14. I went with gloss black tamyia x1, simigloss black X18 and flowquil grimmy black And in classic form, i lost the radio face plate. Im going to try and make one.
  15. I already ripped the gray one off with scotch tape. I did not it to melt into the paint so i could not get it off when those decals come in By then i should have all tha black added.
  16. I was able to get the fish eyes out and spriad Down some testors goss clear coat. The gray strip that came with the kit is not dark enough. Got this one off ebay. I love ebay. I may have to paint the top black. This green color will quickly over power a build. That goes for 1:1's too The black strip may do the job
  17. Luis. The LS1 is back in it's box. Never to see the light of day again Mike. Hate that you cant go. Will you sell me one of your models so i have a chance of winning something At the show
  18. Getting hooked on the Skyline cars is an easy thing to do. All of them. Even the 70's hooptys are beautiful cars. No wait. The ones in the 80's were ugly. Any way, hope it tuns out good for you
  19. It is on the 23 of feb. check out the tread in the contest and shows section. Im should be able to go. The wife wants to go so i was like heck yeah.
