the ones on the body shell were a cake walk. they did need some trimming in some areas. now. the carbon on the bottom was not fun at all. that was 2 days work. i may go all out on the carbon details on my next gto build thanks every body for your kind words. -

well my freddy flame out needed a adversary. so i am making him one here's freddy i got the body from the weird-ohs Digger kit note the monster looking hands. they needed to be changed to a more human look. so i cut the hands off a flame out kit and kit bashed them onto the diggers arms. i used parts off a revell A10 thinderbolt to change up the plane. he will be dressed out in German WWII style uniform and cammo on the plane. he even has that weird salute the German's gave that monster leader of the time.

what searh words did you use to find this -
i bought a $8 flex-a-file CA glue appicator. it worked ok for like 15 seconds. i broke it trying to clean it. there was just something about the shape of it that kept bugging me. i kept trying to figure out how to fix it. and blamo!!!!!!! that shape was a sewing needle with the tip of the eye cut off. i will just attach it to my pin vise or not now. if i can just find the one that i already cut. it is going to be a pain lf i dont find it soon.

Fujimi Ferrari F430 "Shinryaku Ika"
lanesteele240 replied to lanesteele240's topic in WIP: Model Cars
i always base coat with the paint. remove any trash in the finish up to 12000 and then polish with a buffing compound. i then apply the decals using micro sol. i put down a light clear coat a few times. when the 3rd light coat is dry i lay down a wet coat. i then sand with 4000 on up to 12000 then buff and wax. if you go to hard on the polishing u may cut into the decals. so go light. i always clear my deals to protect them on a project like this. i wont clear if the decals are small or they would look dumb with clear on them
