i hate that i beat all my models with a hammer when i got tired of them. only a few survived my wrath. mostly the ones that i gave away -

hello here are the results of this weekends work. here is the final paint on the body. some polishing is needed and some touch-up under the finders. the windows also needs trim paint. i stripped the chrome off of the rims and painted them with alcad dull stainless. i used the stincle that came with the P/E kit to paint in the bridgestone . man that thing works great. i made it so i could remove the wheels to view the breaks. (Always wanted a kit that i could remove the wheels). i have some 1/8 rod that will go in the holes of the rims into the holes in the rotors. the 1/8 rods will be capped with the wheel lugs. new picks coming soon of how that comes out. -
i hate super glue. it usually monks up my project every time i use it. or i end up with stuck together body parts. i will use it as a last resort in the future. that white stuff kills me

my wife would have made me let her clean the car out before i copied it. she would not let me show you guys she had anything out of place. i love you kit. the stuff on the inside is great

man your models look great. the pic with the car on the rollback is very accurate. i live in North Carolina. most of the time that i see big wheel cars they are broke down on the side of the road. too much stress on the suspension that high up. bad welds and such. my dad had to work on one that sheared all five lug nuts off on one wheel. upon closer inspection 5 more lugs on the other rims were MIA. that would be a bad felling to stop and one of your wheels pass you. that paint on the 42 car is great. i have seen them painted like skittles, baby ruth, m&m's, hot wheels, money, obama, and tide. i have even see one like a police car. any way your models look clean.

here are a couple that i use that help me keep bench clean. this cork board helps me get stuff of the work area by pinning stuff up. these squirt bottles from a lab help add just as much thinner as needed. from one drop for thinning paint in a airbrush cup to a stream for flushing airbrush parts. i have one for water, alcohol, and lacquer thinner. no more wasting or over using. i painted them different colors so i wont mix up

any body know where i can get a veil to replace the one that used. i use the one i found in the wife's closet that might have not been such a good idea! -
here is my new project. has got to be the hardest body to buff out any paint goof ups. there is a vent or wing on every square inch. i used a bridal veil to mimic carbon fiber on the under carriage(let me know if you know of any other mesh that has a tighter pattern). i put down a coat of silver and then used the lace method with the brides veil. i sprayed on some simigloss black. i then removed the lace and then toned down the silver with some light coats of the black. i then cleared with floor wax and then some dupicolor clear. those p/e brake rotors were a butt. around 4 hours to assemble. will be back soon with picks of the painted body and buffed under carriage. hu-hu, i said buffed under carriage
