Model and surroundings are out of this world, great job man.

Cruz!! What are you doing using Franklin Mint Models to take credit for this GTO? I purchased a F/M GTO last month and the chassis looks identical to that one!

Greetings Mr. Obssessive, this tutorial has been of great help to me. I have been following this thing since you started and I must thank you for all your help, a lot of my questions have been answered. Mr. Cruz had talked to me about you when I visited him on a business trip to Maryland. Between you and him, I have been able to extract a lot of helpful information, you guys are a blessing to us amateur modelers. Have you thought about writing a book on this subject? I have seen a share of them over the years but this one is really unique, I think you should consider it. Not only are your modeling skills out of this world, your writing and grammar skills are very good also. Again, thank you for all your help.

This is awesome, your weathering techniques are really cool man.

This thing is super smooth Cruz, looks great. Do you sell that Merc in the background? I am VERY interested! Didn't see that one when I visited your house.
-
Very cool man, I was just advicing Mr. Sauber into getting a good camera, you have helped me in showing him what I mean!!! Nice work!!!

It's a full engine, pretty nice too!

New model car magazine in the market?
meaneyme replied to meaneyme's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yes Jay, you should be able to buy the first issue also. They also have a feature on Marcos Cruz, too bad I can't seem to read the articles too well, I guess I will also have to wait for the magazine to arrive. Mr. Willits seems to have a lot of models in his house! -
New model car magazine in the market?
meaneyme replied to meaneyme's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks a lot Mr. Bradley but I have another question? How are they going to sell this magazine if you can already see what it contains? Of course, I'm putting an order in to purchase it, looks very good. I see some of the guys in the forum in here also! -
I was talking to a fellow modeler, don't remember now, and he told me about a new magazine that just came out, I don't think is in the newstands but it's dedicated to old and traditional cars, something with the title of Kustmom or Hot Rod Models? Does anyone here know? I would love to purchase one, just don't know how to go about it.

Is it just me or.............
meaneyme replied to Jeff Sauber's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
One thing I do notice about these full detail guys is that a lot of the details they add are a little out of scale, awesome stuff but out of scale. I know its not easy to scratchbuild, I wish I could do a lot of that stuff some of these guys do but again, a lot of it is out of scale. It's mostly noticable in the Drag version of the builds. -
Thanks Mr. Cruz, this information will be very helpful to me when I decide to start using this system. Loved that engine bay in the Starliner.

I have seen several modelers here using pastels for weathering and other little things, my question is what do you guys use, and how do you use them?
-
Awesome job on this my friend, details are very cool.

I will certainly be following this one, the color is beautiful man, don't even think about changing it. Those resin tires really are awesome, much better than using those stupid kit decals on the tires.

Bad news about our friend

I don't know him personally but I know that prayer is a very strong tool, I will certainly keep him in mine. -
Need your input and advice!!!!

I would like to publicly thank Mr. Cruz for being a real gentleman, I didn't buy the blue Willys he is currently selling but I did buy 2 other models he painted for me which he had in his stock. I will not say how much I paid, money is not in question here but, DARN IT! are these bodies beautiful! He did a terrific job and delivered them on time as promised! On top of that, I won't even talk about a lot of free stuff he gave me and most of all some good advice on building and painting. Again, I thank you very much Mr. Cruz, I am very happy to have joined this forum and met you. Now if only I had a digital camera to show my beautifully painted models -
This thing is just sweet man, perfect color choice and rake is perfect! One thing about the Tamiya models is that they are easy to put together, they are so well engineered.
-
Hey Cruz, I just can't believe this, I just won this kit at a raffle in a toy show today, just like you told me, the chrome tree is just gorgeous on it. How well did it go together? I might just be contacting you to see if you can paint it for me, I will PM you later ok.
-
Good job on it, I just can't see that color matching this car, another color would have been better. I also think is too high. Sorry, this is just constructive critisism man. Also, is the pillar from the windshield broken?
-
Stunning build man, colors are just right.
-
You did a terrific job on this, I have one of those kits in my stash, I will probably be looking at it a little closer, just hope mine comes up half as good as yours.
-
This is absolutely gorgeous man, I just PMed you, your'e gonna have to tell me your secrets to your beautiful paintjobs specially on the Black, never an easy color to work with but you pulled it off!
-
This thing looks cool man, feels like I'm in the streets of East LA

The silver 'Vette is just awesome, the red interior really brings out the whole package. Love the interior on the blue one.
