  1. This is just awesome Cruz but, do you want some advice? No, doesn't have anything to do with constructive critisism, it has everything to do with keeping this build, I asure you that you will be crying after handing it to the owner. Better yet, give it to Gregg, he will have something to add to next month's cover of the magazine.
  2. I think I get a lot from everyone who posts even the simplest things, I don't like to post names even though I do have my favorites but I do think that it is quite nice of you to try to acknowledge some of the people here, specially the ones that post every detail of their builds while in progress. I don't think I am talented enough to post any pictures of my work but to those of you who are brave and talented enough, thank you for the help, it is always appreciated.
  3. Like Cruz said before Randy, go to the previous page of this thread and you will see it finished, he completed this build about a year ago.
  4. Wow, you place the Catalina and GTO against the proper background and you couldn't tell the real one from the model, terrific work man. So far, normal seems to be more convincing.
  5. I say, settle this like real men! Post a picture of your models with "I like shiny" for the subtitle if you like them shiny or normal if you like them otherwise, what do you think? I am rooting for the normal!
  6. One of my favorite Muscle cars from the era, I did one of these about a year ago and I am very happy with the way it turned out, only difference is mine is in a darker blue hue!
  7. Great to see you working on this, I'm sure it will be another terrific build from you. I am always impressed with how clean your work is and the attention to detail you incorporate in all your builds. Have you ever had your models photographed for any magazines? My father works as an editor for a local mopar club magazine and wants you to send him some pictures for their monthly newsletter. Interested?
  8. This is a very nice job you did on this terrific kit, I remember one being posted recently, thought it was by Cruz or someone? Looks exactly the same. I actually purchased two kits after I saw it.
  9. Hi there fellas, I am planning on building a VW Golf, is there any way you guys can post some pictures of your Golf builds for inspiration if you have any on this thread? I will appreciate it very much.
  10. Hey Cruz, I see your versatility, not only do you create beautiful models in the Muscle genre but you can also do the European kits some justice. This is an absolute beauty, from the paint, which never dissapoints, to the subtle details added. Those rims look absolutely gorgeous, much better than the chrome alternative. The photo-etch parts look fantastic, you have a great touch placing them around the body, that's never easy. This is certainly model car magazine cover quality and you should be very proud of it.
  11. I saw this in person and believe me, pictures don't do it justice, pretty good idea about putting that engine in this car. Someone told me that the designers of the Vega were at some point going to use this type of engine in that same Vega on that era, anyone know of this?
  12. Harry? Gregg? Anybody?
  13. Can you be more specific? Didn't understand jack s.....
  14. I have noticed that some of you guys update the topic description as you progress on your builds, how do you go around doing this?
  15. Now, that is one smooth paint job, can't wait to see this one completed.
  16. This is really looking sharp Cruz, I also think the embossing powders work better than the flocking which to me have always looked kind of out of scale.
  17. Cruz, your best bet is Tamiya Racing White, very similar to that color.
  18. I love the color and wheel choice, sometimes we have to go out of the box and do something different, helps brake the routine.
  19. Very nice project Cruz, all the small details will really add on at the end. I think the tires are just right, people forget that in the seventies these tires looked exactly like that, I would also keep them. Can't wait to see how the true color looks under the sun.
  20. Looks cool man
  21. Looks awesome Cruz, great job, can't get used to that color but still looks good overall as usual, I am sure your friend will like it.
  22. Reminds me of the one I bought from Cruz, too bad I don't have any photos of it, hopefully Cruz sees this message and posts it. I will have to PM him on this.
  23. I just don't understand what is so hard about taking pictures in focus, don't you see the pictures in your camera before you post them? I just see this so much here that it's really getting annoying now.
  24. Engine detail is terrific man, did you rescribe all the panel lines? They look so clean, is there a wash in them? Where they not noticeable that you had to scribe them?
  25. Brother, you couldn't ask this question at a better time! I just threw mine against the wall this past monday, the piece of ###### burnt a $40.00 dollar Tamiya Modena Ferrari body after I washed it to get it ready to prime. I was just sitting at the bench when all of a sudden the unit stops working after hearing a high pitch sound and seeing some smoke. I unplugged it immediately and found the Modena body partially melted specially around the pillars. I guess I can fix it but I am so mad I don't even want to look at it. I have also purchased some other tools from them but I agree with Edward, these are the kind of tools you buy for your wife to do little things around the house. I had it set at the lowest temperature, don't really know what the heck happened and the funny thing is that it was the first time using it. What really burns me is that I've had other bad experiences with their tools and like a dummy, I decide to purchase another one.
