Agree 100% with you my friend, I know of some people that use the cheapest paint and clear out there and they can make any kind of paint look good but it takes a polishing system to do that. I also have a friend that dumps a lot of enamel clear on his paints to the point where he does really good avoiding the dreaded orange peel but there is so much paint on the model that even the panel lines dissapear, you don't want that.

Very nice, one of my favorite cars.
-
Wow man, I don't know what's better, the BMF job or the paint This thing looks ridicoulesly awesome. Do you use something to brighten up that foil? Mine never seems to shine like that. Panel lines look so clean it looks as if the doors actually open.

When you guys are interested on a topic of an ongoing build or finished build, do you read everybody elses comments before adding yours or do you just go ahead and post your comment or question? I for one like to read what everybody else writes, kinda like to digest the whole experience.
-
WOW! Beautiful shade of red, what paint did you use? The white walls and rims really set it off, can't wait to see some BMF on it.

Awesome work man. -
What's Your Achilles Heel?

Personally, I would say is paint, I am still in the process of learning and thanks to Cruz I am able to do a little wetsanding and polishing on my finishes now. It's a bit tedious but I am getting there. -
On the fuel bowl, did you paint it? That thing looks like it has some real gas in it. I am also noticing the small holes you drilled on the fuel pump, are these pre-drilled in the package?
-
Cruz man, the engine alone is a piece of art so far, my suggestion? Build another one and display this one on the outside next to the model. The strombergs look phenomenal, how tedious are they to put together? What about the fuel pump from Replicas?
-
Thanks Cruz but I will tell you something, you will have to give us a small tutorial on how you went about doing those sweet wire looms, they really look terrific man. What did you use for distributor wires? They look very much to scale.
-
Interesting project Cruz, I will follow this one closely. Did the paint rub off on the transmission from handling?

Agree 100% with you Cruz, this is a great forum and one we all should be concerned in keeping. -

Cruz, your'e gonna have to post a few more pictures my friend, that color is just awesome on that car. You have any interior pictures? Are the rims from the kit? They look a little different than the ones in my kit which are chrome. -
Hey guys, does anyone know how good this kit is? Just won one on e-bay and would like to know if any of you built one.

Terrific build man, these kits are surely not a walk in the park, they are crude and difficult and require real talent to master. You should put this on the Under Glass section of the forum if it's finished brother. -
Has anyone here purchased a set already? How nice are they? I am planning on using them on a '32 Ford but wanted to know if they look correct.
-
Very cool to see this done as I was faithfully watching the work in progress, there is much to learn from you my friend. I went out and purchased 2 kits after seeing this build up, thanks for the inspiration.
-
Wow, the idea of the syringes is great, you can get so creative using them around your builds. The shade of blue coupled with the red color just goes together so well. Love what you did with the beauty rings on the wheels, clearly better than the ones that come in the kit. Can't wait to see this thing completed.
-
Dang bro, you got me salivating over here, this thing is amazingly well done. Everytime I promise myself that I will not buy any more kits someone like you comes around and ruins my plans. That's okay, not a bad thing, at least now I know where to go for my reference material when I am ready to do mine. I followed the work in progress pictures and I have to say that I am very impressed with this build.
-
Really awesome Cruz, the tip on the compound use for the BMF is a good one, mine always seems to go on dull but I will try it with this product. I have 2 brand new bottles of that stuff and didn't even know.

Can't wait to see this finished, great project.

Looks terrific man, superb paintjobs!

Looks great, an old classic never dies.
