While I STILL forgot to spray those daggone side mirrors,LOL,but research did show several 1:1's with matte black units,so I'll spray and install em tomorrow. Other than that, and a tad bit of touch up black on the grille (I see red in a couple spots ),I'm calling it done... Apologies for the crappy pic quality, that dang camera I replaced my last one with (at twice it's price, mind you,and on sale at that ) doesn't like indoor, red,or indoor pics with red in it,sigh. I'll see about some outside pics soon. Nice simple kit, looks decent (methinks the tires are still a bit chunky,Revell, but getting better after 6 years of chunky Mustang tires )

Got out in the new workshop before it got blazing hot this morning (uninsulated/no A/C steel buildings tend to get hot this time of year,LOL! ) and piddled with tat '10 GT ragtop. Almost done with it (haven't uploaded the pis yet,but will today),despite my hand slipping when detail painting some windshield post trim (such a small spot,I think I'll just leave it so's I can FINISH something,LOL! ). I should get it done later tonight when it cools back down

What Slows Down Your Builds?
Olskoolrodder replied to slusher's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Right now,the heat...since I got the new workshop (steel building) I don't really wanna build in the house, but an uninsilated steel building is like an oven,LOL! -
Nice Type 181 (uh....Thing ) I didn't get work on a build on the new bench/in the new workshop today...as expected,it was 10-15 degrees hotter in there than outside,LOL! I DID get most of it all set up however, and ready to build (late eves, early mornings). Since I can't afford to just jump in and electrify/insulate and panel it all at once,I'll spring for a bit every pay period of hers, and my once monthly pay as well until I get it easier to keep it cool in there (by which time I'll need to keep it warm ). Nice to walk out there and see all my stash stashed in there,as well as the few built-ups I have left

Nice IH rat,Chuck,I digs it!!! Rob,hope ya feel better soon and whatever it is that be ailing ya settles the way you want As for mine,it isn't all set up just yet. Since steel shed's make for ovens this time of year and I haven't got it insulated/climate controlled yet (working on figuring out how to pay for it,LOL) I must wait until evening to go out to the new workshop, but I have been putting some stuf out there, getting it ready With the heat,I'm about afraid to leave the building suppiles out there perminently yet (paints, glues, putties, etc),but I'll be trying to use the bench to actually work on builds this week (maybe piddle some this eve,I have some lights hanging afterall )

Thanks,my friend (been wanting one for years!). I'll be going out there and piddling when the sun (and myself) gets up tody,at least getting it ready to start building

I just RTO'd (renting to own*) this, was delivered today. Over the coming month(s),it'll get floored (linolium),insulated/panel-cieling added, electrified, air conditioned/heated,and set up as the new model building/bicycle workshoping Man Cave I've wanted for about 29 years (I'm only 39... ) As Mater said "Wooooohooooo!!! I'm happier than a tornado in a trailer park!"............oh wait,we just moved INTO a trailer park Need a new expression, don't I? * Plus I figured out how to get it for only $3 per month (that's THREE0 out of pocket/income/bill moneys -

What Slows Down Your Builds?
Olskoolrodder replied to slusher's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
"What slows down your builds"....time,mostly-but the reason time slows the builds down is almost always ME,but not here lately, life issues since 6-30-11,seems like one thing after another,LOL,hopefully things will/have settled down now though TIME to build -
That thing's gunna be killer! LOVING the paint and wheels.
-
ILOVE this one,Jared! I always had a love of that gen 300Z,never owned one, always wanted to. I enjoyed watching this one come together
-
VERY nicely done! It was worth the paint hassle,IMHO my friend, looks fantastic. I LOVE the extra detailing you added (under the hood, side trim, those killer antennas, etc),makes it really stand out, very nioce!

Very correct,it's most likely tooled off of Monogram's old '85 Z28,which was a pretty dang good,if basic, kit. The spoiler kit, hood and tail lights are the dead-give aways as to year. AMT had an '82-84 Z28 in 1:25 scale... NOT that that matters,as you did an AWESOME job putting it together,it looks great,I love it! Despite the Ford Pony in my avatar (that was in my driveway last and the first half of this year),I had '87 and '89 IROC-Z's,I wish we'd see more 3rd gen Camaro's in scale (and 1:1). Nicely done,my friend!
