Jah Bill, The headlights... might be from the '39 Chev... I forget, it was a long time ago and I'm getting up there in years. That would be the Revell/Monogram 39 Chev! Pretty sure now that I checked the box... they are missing so I must have used them! Give that a try. Sorry for the missinformation. :roll:

Gray, The "Future Rod" look is not popular right now and thus I am not working on anything like that. Rat Rods, Nostalgia Rods, and Vintage look is the most dominant theme currently. The 2032 roadster was neat to build and I am glad you like it. I can dig it out and shoot a few pics but not right now. Too many responsibilities.... 8)

I have no secrets.... that is why I write how-to's for MCM. The Duval windshield is hand made out of a sheet of aluminum. The skull shift knob is resin from some resin caster.... I think. (I actually made my own skull knob once by grinding away hair, eyeballs and such from a 1/32 plastic figure) The headlights are Monogram 1936 Ford. 8)

Lincoln V12? Yes, my version of a Lincoln using two V8's trimmed for glueing! Actually a Monogram Lincoln will end up being slightly smaller... but the effect non the less cool! GO FOR IT! 8)

Sure, but your going to need to figure out the correct sizes you need before you buy. Some of the tires they offer are not actually rubber but silicone. The sidewall/tread detailing on most of the tires is set in the mid 60's during the heyday of the slot car which is perfect for your project Click on the HTML code in the "Other Silicones & Euro Type Tires" column. Search for the tires you want based on the vehicle type. I would email Professior motor for a pic and exact spec.s before buying to make sure. Since this is a static model and not a slot car the tires don't have to be an exact tight fit... they simply have to look right! Right? Good luck!

I do! I do! Corvair Corsa Sprint... I learned to drive stick on one actually! Very fast, 160 hp flat six, 4 carbs and a cooked spare tire over the engine. We had a Craig 8 track in ours and it took at least 30 min's to clear the front window on a wet morning. I got stranded with a bad fuel pump once and disassembled it with a pair of pliers and a bottle opener, swapped the two valves, and was back on the road in about a half an hour. Never threw a belt though.... ...are you still reading this? Man I feel old....

Depends on the image size of pictures posted in that thread. We are working an image host program that sizes pictures automatically. Until then, when posting pictures, keep the size to about 150kb. Or... 9 X 7... 8)

When shooting, change the resolution on the camera to a lower setting. I have an Olympus and the best setting is "SQ1". If you have a computer image program... change the width setting to about 8 inches across at 72dpi.

You'd be better off spraying gloss black and then Alclad, OR polishing the metal over using bare metal on a set of slot car wheels. Yes, you COULD do it but your time could be better spent doing something else more productive... like trash pickup along the interstate or habitat for humanity! In my humble opinion… of course! 8)
