25 days since anyone posted here and still no updates. 30 some days till the challenge ends... Really thought it would be a hot idea, guess I was wrong.

I don't have any pictures.... but the "Mono-chromatic" fad came about mid 80's. That was the time when someone would paint EVERYTHING on the outside of the car the same color including wiper arms, bumpers, grill and anything normally chrome. Didn't matter if the part moved or held still... the guys would paint it body color. I personally loved it, but that fad only lasted a few years.... or until the paint started chipping off the wiper arms. Whichever came first.

Dave, correct and no... it's still blue. After this hot summer I decided that black is not a wise choice for color. That pic was taken Friday, while heading to the coast for a car show.

Guess what it is.

Faith is never in vain. Ridiculed at times, but never in vain! Interesting dio and in my opinion it belongs here as much as any dio belongs. Most dioramas are background and not vehicles. If the builder chooses to place a car in it or not... the model is the background! I say carry on! But then I am bias and scripture says that Jesus wins.

Have you seen a model busted at a show?
Jairus replied to Lunajammer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
One year a long time ago Gregg and I were at GSL taking pictures of the entries. The doors were closed and the judges were at one of the tables mumbling over some of the entries. No one else was present. I was running models from table to camera and back again while Gregg snapped the shots. Sometimes he would carry the cars to and from just to stretch his legs. It was quiet and boring until G. pulled out a model car from his camera bag. He said to just sit down and watch.... He walked to one of the tables close to the judges and promptly... dropped it! The sound was unmistakable and you could have heard a pin drop after that as all the judges and Mark Gustavson turned to look. Gregg muttered a four letter word under his breath and stepped forward to pick up the poor little car and with his other foot managed to kick the darned thing another 6 feet spewing parts left and right. Of course the judges were completely horrified... until G. and I could no longer contain ourselves and burst out laughing. Eventually we had to tell them that it was all a set up... but man that was funny, the look on their faces when he kicked the car across the floor, priceless. *sigh* They almost didn't let us in the room the next year... -

Yup, low pressure and low volume and works for an airbrush. But.... GET IT OFF THE SLOT TRACK! Sheesh! -

No, you explained it clearly enough. I desire neither drama, nor debate. -

Mark, better look up the terms "Realistic" and "Logical" because the two terms are mutually exclusive and not what "I" infered with my post. The rest of the 'so called' negative posts were personal opinions I believe. Last I looked, everyone is allowed to voice theirs here unless the thread is locked. -

The first was the best and it went down hill for me from there. Skills and proficiency with PhotoShop aside, I have to ask... why? I suspect the artist gets a thrill from creating something that never was by creating a visual illusion over logic. Over at Motorburg we have a female from Germany who loves posting her crazy and similar ideas using a high powered modeling program. Most have wonderful application in the toy industry, but unfortunately demonstrate little understanding of the basic workings of the internal combustion engine. -
What I had meant was the show was always viewed (prob always filmed too) in black and white, ergo a grey painted house. The car in the movie was a 1933 Packard. The one from the series was never called out as far as I can tell. But a '32 Lincoln convertible sedan would be perfect! (photo courtesy of the unofficial Adams Family web site)

I never saw that house in color... If asked, I would have said it was originally was painted grey... Hahahaha. Nice mini dio Barbo!

Nobody does it better in my opinion! -
What 'the Crank' is saying is: you want to copy the image URL from the Fotki page to your clipboard. At Fotki page, click the box "Share" The drop down box opens with three options, pick the first: "Image URL for use on other sites". Click the address and it says "Copy". it, the image address, is then on your clipboard. Go to Model Cars Mag and click the link to "Add Reply". When the window opens the heading says "Reply to this topic" and there is a full menu above the text box. Click the little box with the green tree in it on the second row middle. It will open another box. Right click and paste. Enter Easy!

In defense of the Probe

Okay... -
Okay, I will use Brian's photobucket account since he so graciously provided it in his sig block... Step one is to go to the pic in your account that you want to post. On the right is a box with the words "Share this photo". 4th option down is: "IMG code". Click on the code and when a message pops up which reads: "Copied". What that means is it is copied to your clipboard on your computer. Not the picture, but the address where the picture is stored. A forum thread is simply a program and where the pictures go is only an address. The video card in your computer, when the thread is opened, reads all the codes for fonts, type and pictures and displays it in a logical format. So... I went to Brian's account and posted this pic: http://i11.photobuck.../bsoder/025.jpg<<<< Just paste (Edit, Paste at the top of the screen) the code where you want. I added spaces to fool the program so you could read the code, but if you do it right it looks like this: <<<<

In defense of the Probe
Jairus replied to Kit Basher's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
No bashing here! My son's first car was a '94 Probe, 2.0 and five speed. I got the chance to drive it quite a lot and found the car to be quick and nicely balance even with 150,000 miles on it. Was a bit small inside however and yes, getting out of it was a bit of a challenge. I even changed the timing belt and waterpump for him one week. YEAH... it took nearly a week to get everything back together correctly as the engine compartment is a bit tight. But the air-conditioning never faltered and the car never left him or I stranded. Nice little car... wonder where it is now...? -
True that Harry! Must be a lot of guys in my area have a sub because I am usually the first to receive it. LHS doesn't carry and we have a pretty big club here in Salem so that must explain it.
