  1. That must have been right about the time he took three of my original pieces of artwork... without payment of course.
  2. Who?
  3. Nice! I like the dirt on the tires.... but you need MORE DIRT!
  4. Each application usually requires a different shape of wire hinge... so pre-bent wire dosn't really work that well. Why not bend your own? Pair of hands, wire cutters, needle nose plyers are all you need!
  5. Hey Steve, I gotta say that you are one of the few modelers out there that continue to amaze me and inspire me with your designs. PLEASE KEEP IT UP!
  6. Welcome Dave! Don't go cheap on the airbrush compressor. However, don't go crazy either.... Look into getting a commercial type of compressor at Sears or the local hardware store rather than one designed specifically for the airbrush. A big one will be useful in the garage for pumping up tires and blowing off the work bench as well as airbrushing. A compressor made for just the airbrush is only good for..... well, the airbrush! The big one will have a tank, which you can fill up and run all day with out having to re-fill. Just a thought.... One other thing, put your name, first and last, in the signature text box found in your "My Controls" section.... Thanks!
  7. Looks great... too clean for a garage. Maybe a show room would be that clean but a garage?
  8. Were did you get that fat resin rear tire please?
  9. Zeppy1320, that is a VERY cool vintage “nose-in-the-air†funny! You will make a wonderful addition to the crazies who populate this forum. Couple things though… .could you please post your name!!!! Read the forum rules and get your name in the signature text box so that we all know who you are. This also applies to anyone else in this thread who has not yet complied with the rules, (6bblbird), and get your first and last name posted. Thanks!
  10. Just rub it with your sweaty fingers after rubbing them on your nose or earlobes. The natural body oils will transfer a neat leather/vinyl like sheen to the upholstery making it look very real.... trust me!
  11. Please call me Art! 503-587-7443 (Just don't call me late for dinner....)
  12. Computer graphic modeling! The artist creates a three sided line drawing and then inputs the dimensions... locates key points and the computer draws it in 3D. Then it is colored and texturized by choosing from a pallet of colors and textures. There is also a mirad of special effects that can be included and what is really neat is the image can be rotated left and right, up or down. Very cool! Of course it requires a lot of input per piece.... maybe 8 to 10 hours each but the results are breathless... even if a bit fantastic.
  13. Russ, paste the link in a message and I will fix that too....
  14. Russ, fixed! To add pictures click the little picture icon in the button bar above the text box. (this is while posting) That will insert a start tag. Then insert, paste or type the address to the photo, then click the "Insert Image" again to provide a close tag. No spaces! Just hover your mouse pointer over the buttons and a clue will pop up to tell you which one is the Insert Image button. Okay? J
  15. I too was in Jr High School in '72 and this dio is spot on except for one thing.... the girl in the window. No one sold panties or swimsuit bottoms like that in 1972! Check out the movie Alien and the bottoms that Sigourney Weaver were wearing at the end of the movie (Oh, you know what scene I am talking about!) are period correct for that hottie in the window.... Am I wrong?
  16. Wes, Excellent answer! I couldn't have responded better. On another note, both of you guys need to post your full names please. Wes, just need your last name but CStew we need you to read the forum rules and please comply. Resistance is futile!
  17. Probably should take the poll ... BEFORE CHANGING THE FORUM!!!!
  18. Rob, the use of a photo imaging service is optional. Gregg is simply providing a services for those who have yet to acquire an account elsewhere. Good tutorial Gregg!
  19. I love the wind blown look Steve! Those gauges are very nicely done.... but then the whole thing is beautiful! Thank you for posting it!
  20. Beautiful model but ... even better is your wonderful photography skills! Love that platform the model is sitting on too. You make that or stumble over it somewhere? Welcome to MCM Forums
  21. AMT '65 Riveria has a very nice motor.
  22. Yeah that is true... but he rarely joins the decussion....
  23. Very nice Charles!
  24. I have no idea Ken. But check all the settings in your "My Controls" section and see if there is a box to select "Stay logged on until I log off" or something like that.
