  1. Bob, They won't update the car because being a snap kit it would require a new body. And since the cost of tooling the body is more than the rest of the kit including the box, probably won't happen! Door trim is there! 8)
  2. Actually, I have no idea what you are talking about! Sorry.
  3. Welcome Dave!
  4. Take a moment and say hi to Karmodeler2 ... Our newest member don't cha'know!
  5. How many Gregg's do it take...to screw in an avatar?
  6. I don't have a problem..... Gregg?
  7. Floquil model train paints come in various colors of mud and are very flat. I would pick some of them up and maybe add a touch of talc powder to give the paint some depth. As for changing the years.... a little research with Google will show you quicker than anyone can post here! Good luck and keep us posted. 8)
  8. Very nice build Izzy!
  9. My parents have a family cabin at a local lake here in Oregon. The cabin is right on the edge of Crescent Lake and like all the cabins on that lake it has a boat dock. This dock is built on a hand made steel ladder frame with a car axle underneath. The rear axle is some sort of truck axle with leaf springs and no shocks. The rubber tires and axle are under water 80% of the time and pulled out of the water in the winter. The truck axle allows it to be easily pulled up on the beach for storage and/or repairs. Since Dad purchased the cabin in 1972 he has replaced the deck three times, the axle never. It is the same axle that was under there since the dock was built long before we came along and yet the wheels turn smoothly when ever it is pulled out of the water. The tires even have no problem holding air after all these years! Yes, I am sure the Plymouth probably rolls very well. Remember, it was totally under water at least once but I would bet that during the summer months the water level was pretty much where it was when the vault was opened and lower at times. I suspect the Plymouth is in way better shape in some respects (mechanically) than it looks in the pictures.
  10. I hope that the first person who finds pictures of this car cleaned up or posted on ebay will be sure to post a link here!!!! PLEASE!!!

  12. Don't forget the 8-track!
  13. This is too general a question! You are going to have to provide a little more information or this question is going to be ignored. Just my opinion.
  14. That is quite a project and I hope you are going to keep us updated with the progress. I happen to know that I DO NOT have the room for storage of a project of that size but I wish you the very best. Lexan is my choice for window glass.... and what Modelmartin says is correct. PLEASE put your name on your post. Forum rules require you to post your name when you register with a handle. Best way to do this is click on the Profile section above and look for the "Signature Text Box". Put your name in there and click "Update" or "Save". As for tires, make your masters and then contact this guy Michael Ortmann at the link I provided. He casts rubber tires for slot cars. He could either make your tires or can help you aquire the materials to cast your own. Thank you and good luck!
  15. Scale?
  16. Andi, Very very nice! I am impressed with the results and hope to someday see the original. And.... thank you for sharing the process with us.
  17. Only funny if we had all seen the movie I suppose...
  18. Darin, chill out! That is a term that Gregg uses a lot around me and it means DONE! But he uses it ALL the freeking time!!! Most of the people we are with have no idea what he is talking about so... it is gibberish to them. It would be the same if I were to go to a Taco bell and order in Kilgon for heavens sake.
  19. I, Name please! Read the rules and post your name! As for the Plymouth... stupid news web sites don't know what the heck is really going on and only give us mouth noise. Sheesh....
