Fotki Issues?
MoparWoman Jamie replied to AzTom's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Well, the only thing I can say here is.. that for the ones that have Fotki, your photos are all down as well just like the site is. But the people like myself that have photobucket, my photos are still up and people can see them. I'm not paying anything and I can get around the Photobucket stuff very easy and know how to creat albums as it's not hard at all. But two each his own though -

Ben, it's not your fault man. I heard alot of issues they have with there site, that's why I went with photobucket long time ago back over 8 years ago. Also on photo bucket they give you a choice as I am aware of when you make anew folder as to if you was it public or private option. -

Is the site down? I can't get on there now to check out the photos. -
Looking very very good Romell! Sorry I haven't posted sooner, been busy and trying to take care of things in life recently is all (that's why I haven't posted much for). I'm just now getting caught up on your build progress here and love what I am seeing so far man. Maybe you might know, the answer to this question, what re the small led lights called in the windstream 4300 ethernet modem? I heard that was no bigger then a cloth pin shaft in size.. and that they are really bright.

Real or Model #147 FINISHED!
MoparWoman Jamie replied to Harry P.'s topic in Real or Model? / Auto ID Quiz
I say Real due to afew things.. the tires looks rather real then a model and something in front of the tires caught my eye also that leads me to think the same as well. -

Making Your own Bare Metal Foil (BMF)
MoparWoman Jamie replied to MoparWoman Jamie's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Thanks man! the foil isn't to thick, you just half to know how to work it The thing is, and this is how I look at it. Look at the trim thickness on any trim piece. Look at how thick it is. now to me model car foil is way to thin where as alumium foil kinda has the right thickness when scaled down. -
Making Your own Bare Metal Foil (BMF)

I don't use no oil or anything like that at all. Matter of fact I haven't had a issue at all with cutting through foil. I can do maybe 5 jobs (builds) with the sigle blade before changing it. I have no idea what you all issues are with the blades though and cutting through foil. When I spray the glue on I also haven't a build up issue either as all the stuff I use was always all level out. And above what I posted photos of is all the stuff I use. I think the reason why some of you are having issues with the stuff is because of the brand type you are using maybe. Different brands different effects I think. But when I get stuff, I always try to stay away from the name brand items as me and that stuff doesn't kinda hit it off if you know what I mean. So instead of me getting the $$ stuff I got the other way and go for less and for some reason or another I have better luck with the cheaper stuff then the higher stuff. I have tried the 3M spray glues and no luck with them as there spraying was bad so I went back to the lower cost stuff and had better luck with those. -
3 weeks ago you say? that was around the same time frame my issue happen on here as well. And I'm using Firefox. But I haven't had no log out issue at all though. Just things vanishing at times is all and the mods are not doing as I found out recently. It might be the board software itself that has the issue.

CLEANING CHROME QUESTION
MoparWoman Jamie replied to the guru's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Wouldn't that be like a tar subtance? because I use with caution all the time Prep-All sense it's made for real cars to remove tar like subtances and what not. -

Making Your own Bare Metal Foil (BMF)
MoparWoman Jamie replied to MoparWoman Jamie's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I use the Reynolds stuff and I love it man.. it brings out the detail on the model not to mention it also have that trim thickness also like real trim is. But the kind I showed above was the stuff I just grab on my out of the house was all LOL. The reason why I use spray adhesive is because I am more in control of the tackyness then anything.. which is what I like. Plus I don't hardly go with big brand name stuff anyways because all your buying is the name mostly. That tip about one of places to get the foil at is also a good tip as I also get my foil from Dollar General Dollar Tree, Trader Horn or gorcery stores like Sharp Shopper. The reason why I started making my own foil was because I didn't have a hobby shop around long time ago as the closes was one was that was a hour away and they wanted a dang arm and leg for there stuff. So I thought why not make my own.. then back over a year ago I had boughten a pack of real model chrome foil from Floyd (a relative) to see how the work and looked. You now to give it a try at least.. and it was around 10inches long and by maybe 6 inches wide sheet for around six dollars . Well I notice soon as I removed it from the pack it didn't have that real trim look effect to it at all but I wanted to try it anyways. I was using the chrome version.. well after trying to apply it to a window trim edge and the stuff not sticking very well at all. I decided to yank the stuff back off and get out the foil and make my own LOL. I paid six dollars you can say for a 10x6 sheet of paper like chrome that hardly sticks. I put out around maybe $3.50 to 4.00 for foil and spray glue when I have to reload my stash and yet I get more for less and I get the choice or two sides as in Dull or Chrome to use at any given time. And if I get a wrickle in the foil I can work it out easy LOL. Not to mention I also don't have to worry about the foil having a shelf life (I heard the real model foil has a shelf life). -
The Big One
MoparWoman Jamie replied to Romell R's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thank you sir. I thought it was around 20 inches at least by what I compaired it to in your photos. You have a good idea about the 4 steering.. and I might ad if you do go that route your build will be the first one I have ever seen -
I know your not going grammer-nazi on me at all man. But I just went back an red what I said before also to see where all the confuseion was at and why you had a hard time understanding it and I couldn't find one place at all. And I red it word for word also to see how it sounded myself. Even the mods understand it also it seems and so far no one else has said they had a hard time understanding my post's.. you are the first one bud. If anyone else has a problem with reading my post's please let me know. Because I do at times speed type and do get extra letters in some of my replys by mistake which would make it alittle hard to understand them. Plus I will go on record here and admit I can't spell some words the best so I do the best as I can with them. Now about the screen/nick/real names. What good is having a screen name if you also have to have your real name posted? Doesn't that kinda kill one or the other out. I would think it would. PS: I'm not trying to start anything here, I'm just trying to understand why both names has to be use at the same time is all.
