Problems with MCM forum
MoparWoman Jamie replied to crazyjim's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I know sometime about a week ago I was having heck of issues at getting around the site here, I mean I would click on a thread or a link at the top and it seem it would take like afew minutes just for the stuff to kick in. I time one and it took at least 30 seconds before it did anything. Then at times I would get "Couldn't find the site" and at times I would get the "500 error" as well when I was trying to get around the site here. Just so you know I'm using Firefox as a browser and have been sense back in around May of this year. I can go to any other sites and have no issue at all at getting them to load or getting around them at all.. it's only this site. -
What about the mounting brackets? you know the brackets that you built the unit to and the other that bolts to the bigger bracket and also to the engine.

What tools do i need?
MoparWoman Jamie replied to TKobes's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I use super glue for glue and nothing else, a excto knife, some small drill bits, paints I use are Krylon, Color Place, and random paints at times and also Testors spray paints that isn't enemel. For body filler I use real car bondo. So you see, besides the model car paint and excto knife I stay away from the model stuff like model glues and model putty or try to best as I can. LOL -
Harry is talking about the photo in the photobucket album #25 out of 32.

I heard from a friend on another forum that he was told that this kit and the 1:16 scale one was both push back to late next month. I have a funny feeling that next month comes they will get push back again.

MoparWoman Jamie replied to lowriderphil's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I was unaware that Hawaii had states in it, where are they all kapt at? Now about the mag issues, it doesn't bother me at all as I'm not with MCM or Scale either. I can get the info I need right off the forum here faster. -

Easy bro, your youtube video. B) -
Daniel, I was just looking at the photo above of your project. I think your going to half to do something about the original diecast rear roof part. It seems to me it is abit sloped down wards in the rear. It looks like you might have to take and slightly notch and push it forwards just afew hairs and make a small metal piece to stick in there where the gap would be at on the bottom. I really like your project so far and I will be following it. Keep up the good work on your build here man.

Scale Hardware
MoparWoman Jamie replied to mdeneg5150's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Can you post some photos of the so called tiny hard ware nuts? I been trying to get an idea on how small they really are and on the web site of theirs there is really no help on that part. In stead of seeing a photo with all kinds of builts and nuts that is a edited photos, I would rather see one of the scale hard aware nuts like you did with the built's above. Any help would be great. -
Man, those body lines almost fit to on the front, I like where your headed with this project.

Real or Model #150 FINISHED!
MoparWoman Jamie replied to Harry P.'s topic in Real or Model? / Auto ID Quiz
Okay, I'm going to say it's "real" mini car. It has all the looks of one. -
Yea, I thought why dirty the sides and tires up for and leave the underside go un-touch for. So I dirtied it as well and did my best to what I thought it would look like. Yea, Rosco looks like he got stuck again while chasing those dang Duke boys around Hazzard once again when it was raining.

Thanks, I was just setting here thinking back to what grill and head lights I used back then. I know the bumper is from Rosco's kit. I think the grill and head light area came as a one piece from a chevell. I know I had to cut the parts and trim them down back then to get things to fit in place and to look at least right. I know the grill had a emblem on the center that I had to remove from it at the time. The top of the head light rims was sanded flat to make them flush with the front face. The nose front end was rebuilt some what also and I added the license plate area on the front bumper also like I did the bumper guards as each one was scratch built. I mean after I step on the original kit shell by mistake it was not a pretty site at all. I could have thrown the damage shell out but I didn't want to waste it though and sense I was working on that kit as rebuild anyways off and on so I thought why not try to back date it sense the shell was in need of alot of repair Your right, Rosco does need a roll bar, he does flip them alot while chasing after those darn Duke boys.

Yea it's resin. I heavily modified a 1978 Fury one of the Rosco kit ones afew years back after I had by mistake step on the shell half way as it was setting down on the floor beside my old work area in the shadowed area and I for got it was down there. So I took the shell and seeing on how the shell was half way busted up I decided I would try my best at modifing it into Rosco's other potrol car version. This model you see here is the 5th proto type out of my shell mold from back then. I have proto type #6 here as well (which is the only other one of the proto types I have left) but it's missing areas of it's shell though as the mold didn't get all the resin down in. The mirror on the model above is scratch built like the side trim is as well. Here is what the interior looks like. Here is also the modified interior tube as well along with the dash. I am only posting this stuff here so you can see what the interior looks like that is in the model above sense those photos doesn't really show you how the interior looks. The shell also has a fabric headliner as well. Now some might not know this but in the first episode, Rosco's one potrol car indeed had a roll bar just like the General Lee had in, in his as well.

I been working on this project of Rosco's other potrol car for alittle while now. Here is the story that I came up with for the project. Poor old Rosco one evening was out way way on the other side of Hazzard at one of his speed traps.. when he had a cb call come over the cb from old Boss telling him that he wanted him at his office at the Boars nest on the triple and that if he wasn't there in 10 minutes he was going to send Lulu back home to live with Rosco. So Rosco hearing that jump in his potrol car and headed off for the boards taking every short cut he knew! and on top of that it was or just had been raining in Hazzard so things was wet in some areas.
