Something that no one has brought up, It must be factory produced. A Chevelle SS 396 or SS 454 is a muscle car, a Malibu with a big block bolted in is not. That is a street machine. A 318 Charger is not a muscle car, a Charger R/T is.

If something is donated (given) to someone didn't they relinquish ownership (control) of said item? I would imagine that the VIN's have been removed so that they could never be sold of licensed. If I was the shop teacher I think I would have just found the chassis parts and drive train for my new street machine project.
