  1. I'll be first in line!
  2. Between the simplified contents, the 1/24 scale thing, the way out of porportion bodies in the 80's and the Tom Daniels subjects I hold the Revell name in far greater respect.
  3. The December Issue has been out for quite some time, If you haven't recived it yet you need to call somebody.
  4. True, but I wonder if it will warp in a few years. I've got it so I might as well go for it and hope for the best. Thanks for the help guys!
  5. So hummmmmm...... Do I try to repair it or look for a 60 Desoto body to start with?
  6. Looks great! I've got part of the hood and right fender missing, nothing like you started with! It's not warped so I don't think it's that acetate (spelling?) stuff. I think It's a New Yorker but will be a 300 F.
  7. I've aquired an old 1960 Jo Han Chrysler promo that has a lot of damage. Is this some kind of strange plastic that can't be repaired or am I OK to start working on it?
  8. Depends on the subject and how bad I want it. I've spent well over $100 on some resin builds, and as little as $15 when a kit was found in tne checkered box or on a 40% discount week.
  9. As far as I know they were just a few selected old kits reissued during the year 2000. I was real glag to see the 39 / 40 Ford sedan at that time.
  10. They are on ebay all of the time, but make no mention of their mod squad past in the listing. Just resin figures in 1/25.
  11. That can't be done without cutting and welding. Thats either a 57 Chevy with a 55 / 56 cowl or a 55 / 56 with 57 quarters fitted.
  12. A high school friend of mine had one of those, a big 4 door tank, and with a small wrench and a 1/8 inch drill the Oldsmobile letters were rearanged and he was the proud owner of a "SLOBMODEL". If we went anywhere together we drove my 56 Chevy 2 door Belair.
  13. It shouldn't, all COPO's had the cold air hood, and the flat hood won't close over a big block, all of them got the SS hood or the cold air hood.
  14. Looking good Nick, did you ever get the Road Runner windshield?
  15. Modelhaus resin has the 38 Chevy grille.
  16. I have one of those AMT Motor City Stockers, it is trimmed as a Cobra.
  17. The one from the AMT 67 and 68 Camaros will work. If I remember right it was long and needed the front trimmed to fit.
  18. 1974 Dodge Monaco 4 door sedan "Bluesmobile" 1968 Hemi Baracuda Super Stocker. 1954 Chevy pick up
  19. On the old Shovelheads the oil filter was in the oil tank.
  20. I always liked the clean look of the MK III, before all of the tacky stuff was added to the MK IV and V's.
  21. I didn't think any full sized Chevy wagon in 63 had 3 lights.
  22. Doesn't the Jo Han 70 have the flat hood?
  23. Thats an easy one, look for the Revell kit from the 90's, great kit!
  24. It seems that the 73 to 79 cars will be some work or old OOP kits need to be found. The MPC Spoiler 'Vette will work for the 80 to 82 cars (with a cross fire injection unit needed for the 82) and it seems to be easy to find. I remember a good 78 pace car kit years ago which will also do a 79, but it may have been 1/24. The 70 to 72 cars would be easy from the AMT 70 kit, as the only external differances were the color of the park lamp lens, clear on 70, amber on 71 and 72) exposed screw heads retaining the grilles on the 72, and a thief alarm switch on the rear of the 72 (looks like a trunk lock cylinder) The 73 cars sat higher (federial standards on bumper heights), and had a new rubber front bumper without the rubber gards that came in for 75, a longer hood that eliminated the wiper door at the base of the windshield that was used from 68 to 72. also was a new open side scoop in the side fenders that replaced the 70 to 72 "eggcrates". These open scoops ran through 79. The 74 cars would need the same work as the 73 but also got a one year only rubber rear bumper with a seam in the middle and no black rubber gards like added to the 75's. Also the rear quarter panels drop lower behind the wheels to match the bumper, you can still see the body line where the old quarters bottoms were. these new 74 rear quarter panels ran through to 82. With the new rear bumper the thief alarm switch moved to the left front fender near the Stingray nameplate. 74's have no crossed flag emblem on the gas cap. The 75 and 76 cars got a new front bumper with black rubber gards, and a rased center that starts up between the front headlights a few inches. the rear bumper lost the seam and gained the rear black gards too. 77 lost the Stingray nameplates, gained crossed flags in their place, and the A post trim is now black. The Corvette block letters on the rear bumper are replaced with a one piece emblem, and the crossed flag emblems are a new style. Inside there were big changes to the dash and console. Also a new leather wraped steering wheel if T&T wheel equiped. Sometime around 76 or 77 the hood lost the cowl grill near the windshield.
