  1. I bought a Modelhaus 48 Tucker, complete and unstarted in the original box for $40 at a swap meet.
  2. Febuary 91 issue of Mopar Collectors Guide artical on Big Willie calls the Cuda a follow-up to the King Daytona.
  3. I've never let what others have thought or done change my opinion on cars that I like or dislike, lf I like something I like it. A lot of Honda Civics have been ruined by teenaged boys making "improvments" to them, but that doesn't change Civics as a whole, they are great little cars. Hey, I like old air cooled Vilkswagens (and own two of them) and the fact that Hitler commishioned them and Hippys fell in love with them in the 60's doesn't bother me. I guess I'm more opened minded than that. To me a car that would be embarrassing to drive would have to be based on the car itself. Ugly, badly built, unreliable or such. Like an Aztec, Juke, Sol, xB, ect....
  4. I used to think that 58 Edsels were ugly, than the last 30 years of cars were released.
  5. I have wanted to build a 1/25 King Daytona for a LONG time, but theres very little info on it out there. Movie trivia, Big Willie and his King Daytona are in the opening street race in the film "Two Lane Blacktop".
  6. Other than enviro wacko nonsence I've never heard any negitive things about H2 or H3 Hummers, they were nothing more than rebody jobs on regular GM truck chassis, and were no better or worse then the Suburbans and Trail Blazers they were based on.
  7. VW busses changed only in small details for most years, but as that kit is a 21 window deluxe it must be a 64 to 67.
  8. Born in 54, the only thing I can think of is a VW bug or a Chevy pick-up.
  9. So............, more chanels of adults playing with balls. Just what we needed. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.....
  10. I'm glad someone else has enough good taste to dislike these ugly things.
  11. All automotive styling went to heck in a handbasket about 1973. (Just about the time the government started telling the manufacturers what they could and couldn't build)
  12. I loved Funnys back when they looked like cars. Nice pre-Pam Jungle funny.
  13. Some of us think Speed lost it's entertainment value then it was bought out by NASCAR. (NAPCAR)
  14. It's all about subject matter.
  15. I'm not a facebook member, so I can't se the picts. Anyone have more?
  16. Pontiac, Mercury, Oldsmobile and Plymouth all died for the same reason, the big three were competing with themselves with badge enginered versions of the same cars.
  17. No supprise, when every bookstore has a coffee shop and lots of seats and benches where you can sit and read without buying anything. How long would GM be in busness if the let you use a new car untill you didn't need it anymore?
  18. Remember not all Beetles are created equal, these are Euro spec cars, not export deluxe USA cars. They won't be the same as the bugs we remember.
  19. If you are not into VW's they are all the same, if you know them every year is differant.
  20. I'm waiting for the "Mall Rated" fender medalions.
  21. Wayne's World! Wayne's World! Excellent! I hope a resin caster does the early hood and grille! I never understood this, if it made it easier to get into the rear seat why weren't both doors longer? (Most parking is done in lots or driveways)
  22. I would think most buyers for this kit would be looking for a trip down memory lane, not a totally new updated state of the art kit.
  23. I'll be there, old grey-headed bearded overweight ugly guy. Say hi.
  24. It's a 327 small block with a 4 speed, but I don't remember what speed equipment is included.
  25. It's been dry for most of a week, the yard was FINALLY drying out, and the rain returned today. Rain is in the forecast every day for the next week. We actually had some snow furies a week and a half ago.
