  1. Like Harry and Terry, I am a product of the days of jacked up days ... My uncle had a Dark Blue '69 SS Camaro that sported American racing 5 slots shod with G 60 15's on the front and N 50 15's on the rear ... Man I thought that cars was cool... cruising with ARS on the 8 Track. I still have 2 of the wheels for old time's sake ....
  2. 8 sets of Crazy Jim's Brembo Brakes (set #1) and two sets of 409 Valve covers. and a couple of Camaro trade kits ...
  3. ... got banned from coaching pee wee football one time ... now that was a story ...
  4. To see how far afield this Retro name thing can go go look what I stumbled across last night researching paint schemes for the PL '65 Coronet Convertible ... I was ill for hours afterwards ... http://www.deviantar..._by_phareck.jpg I guess I can SEE the reference points but ...
  5. I believe you are right ... Now are you the builder of that tasty treat???
  6. found the kit http://www.ebay.com/itm/ARII-1970-Chevrolet-Corvette-1-24-Factory-Sealed-MINT-Model-Car-Swap-Meet-/221010685134?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3375436cce
  7. They look very similar to these ...http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/25-resin-19-chevy-rally-wheels-fit-87080564
  8. I forget the company but one of the Japanese manufactures does/did a line of slightly larger scale corvettes that has fairly nice Rally wheels that scale out about 19/20"'s in 1/25 scale. I did see them the other night done up by a caster ...
  9. Now I know we Americans are behind the Europeans in tech stuff .... Dishwashers that can take photos ... what will they of think of next ... (tongue firmly in cheek) Just playing, man! Seriously, I love this type of paintwork , draws attention without being over the top
  10. ...now, now Harry you seem to be forgetting the popularity of the Donk version or the street machine/pro street Tucker folks and then my all time favorite ... Modified dirt tracker or gasser drag machine... Serious, I would probably do mine as a "Chip Foose" style Pro Touring car ... if I finished builds that I start!!!
  11. The antidote is going to be on shelves soon!!! Hope it is not too late to save ME! LOL
  12. One of the reasons I love the 66 Chevelle wagon so much... all of those door handles!
  13. "Tougher Here" keeps down much of the "Ego Drama Wars" and "name calling" that was prevalent before Ol' Barn' (Harry P.) was sworn in as deputy here! Thanks, Harry! although I do miss some of the eye candy builds they posted I will now go clean this brown stuff off of my nose
  14. The RULES as you call them seem pretty simple to me. Be respectful and behave. The Mods and Editor are pretty thick skinned about constructive criticism and such, both of themselves, posters and the actual Product (The Magazine). Not so for some other forums I have been a part of ... it's Toe the line or "No soup for you!!!! But we are glad you are here, Janie!!!
  15. What MM colors did you use on it? They are a perfect combo for the color scheme!
  16. Art and Tim, Thanks for weighing in on this. I just wish I had of opened these when I bought them so I could have bought a second 65 for the extra parts. Both are reissues with the "pro touring ('65)/ donk style('66)" parts. The '65 got some decent parts added and the '66 got unusable junk ...
  17. I would LOVE to see them do some Cali Wheels style wheels for this one with the seprate front and backs and disc brakes like the 67 Chevelle ,69 Vette or the 59 Vette kits from the past or maybe just tool up back for the Twisted Intros from the 69 Camaro convertibles... Or maybe even a convertible body too like this http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/4/611/469/39025234001_large.jpg
  18. Nice job on a good kit!!
  19. Very nice! Look for an order on those Brembo 14mm disc brakes soon...
  20. Michael, I think he is referring to Henry Winkler, the actor that played Arthur (the Fonz or Fonzie) Fonzarelli on the American TV show "Happy Days" based on the movies American Graffiti and More American Graffiti... Great build by the way!!! Love the startings ...
  21. Does anyone know the story on why there is so much difference between the AMT '65 and '66 Ford Galaxie Kits. One seems to have about half the parts count of the other ...
  22. Is that one of those "don't ask me how I know" things ...
