Thank you, that area was actually masked and airbrushed. I used Bare Metal Foil around the perimeter of the lights for masking purposes and masked the bumper as well. If you brush it, you will end up with brush marks....

Thank you my friend, it’s nothing special, just the use of a Micro Mesh Polishing System and a light hand. YouTube is full of videos on the subject. I would share my own video but it is done in Spanish….

Definitely a kit catered to the advanced modeler. This thing is simply finicky and a little tedious specially when the time comes to adding all those body details. Photo Etch items are from AK Models P/E Detail Set, it truly puts it over the top. I should’ve dulled those rims a bit but this was more of a test run to have a feel for the kit. I have two more of these in my stash and they will certainly be built more like the 1/1. Paint is Splash Paints Rosso Corsa with a Dupli-Color 1K Clear and yes, it was shot straight out of the can, something I never like doing but again, this was more of a test run. I did wet sand, polished and waxed. Wheels and tires are not from this kit, they are actually from Fujimi’s tire and wheel set. I thought the ones in the kit were horrible. Hope you guys like it…..

Guys, the reason for your slips is simple, you have not started VERY LIGHTLY with the scriber. Again, the word VERY LIGHTLY is the magic here, I cannot stress it enough. Once that scriber forms that line, then you can continue with the blade with this one very lightly at the start as well....

2005 AMT Cadillac Escalade...
cruz replied to cruz's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Thank you my friend. This is an ever changing hobby and I myself like trying new things all the time. Keeps the motivation going. I've pretty much kept the basics like the wet sanding process as a regular routine but have changed a few little things here and there. I also like to try new paints and clears as well as diverse products which means that some methods and habits change but again, the basics are still there. You are welcomed to send me e mails on anything you might need help on, it's the reason why we are here. (model.master1@gmail.com) -

Thank you fellas…… -
Very cool, not to mention cleanly executed.....

I am not a truck builder but went out and purchased one at 75 dollars. Went to my club meeting last week and one of our model vendors had one for 50 and yes, I purchased it. They are very nice. Now if only I can have a million pictures of the 1/1 engine, it would make me very happy. Even ordered a nice P/E Detail Set for it.....

Hi there fellas, long time don't see. This is a build of the Tamiya Datsun 240ZG. Paint is Scalefinishes Persimmon Red (factory color) with Testors Wet Look Clear. Plumbed and wired engine and a few other details here and there. Had a lot of fun building this one, very impressive and complete kit. Hope you guys like it!!!

Yes, from Scalemotorsports....

Got this baby done yesterday. Color is Scalefinishes Lexus Liquid Glue. Carbon fiber decals by Scalemotorsports as well as rims and tires. Just had to do very little altering of suspension to get it to look like this. Fun build!

Something a I had put together a few years back. Brings back memories of the passion of the Puerto Rican car culture at the time.
