Got a little project going, so I thought I'd post a few pics. I'm getting ready for paint on the body. Got a few ideas as to how I want it to look.

Looking good. Don't forget the mirrors of the 95 and 96 were on the A pillar, not the door. Best car I ever drove was a '94 9C1. I inherited it from another sergeant who'd been transferred. It was the first PD car I drove with power windows, power seats, and that wonderful torquemonster under the hood. Very comfortable, but it really had a heavy feel to the front end. Never really had any understeer but it always felt like it wanted to push the frontend. Great cars. G

What is your favorite combination
Agent G replied to Raul_Perez's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This is probably my favorite look. 32 3 window coupe, 421 Poncho mill, no fenders, no fru fru. This one was, unfortunately, destroyed by the grandkids............... Here's a 32 coupe with a "radical chop"............ I like my '29's also, especially on '32 rails. You can see I use most of the kit parts as it usually is easier in final assembly. In progress is a '32 5 window thats chopped, channelled, Hemi'd, and full of attitude. I'm using most of the 5 window kit with the supplied hemi modified with three 2bbls. Wheels will be from the kit with tires from a 49 Merc. After that will be a period correct hi boy roadster. I'll use the kit roadster, sedan flathead, and some form of steel wheel with trim rings and dog dishes from the 5 window. G -
Looking real good! Next time "prime" the colored plastic with a silver colored paint. The metallic particles in a good quality silver enamel or laquer will block the bleedthrough. White will go on just fine then. G

Time to do a job change......
Agent G replied to Modellpularn's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
After my retirement from the police department I applied for, and was hired, as a security officer in a major casino resort. After two days I decided it wasn't for me. Even in that upscale property, patrons are sometimes way too irrational. That and the security function was perceived as a necessary evil. We were really restricted in our dealings with violent people. Think "targets". I went back to law enforcement, and do not regret it a bit. Point is what do you feel is best for you? Do what ya gotta do. G -

Good luck James, I'll miss the conversations we've had. Take care bro. Wayne -
Oh Heck Yes! Gator's Ford is a fav of mine. Clean sweet build. First time I polished a finish it took an hour to build up to it. Then I said oh well here we go. G

You should be ashamed of your self. Posting pics of the real deal and passing them off as a model. OMG that's superb! G -
Nick, You have a good eye for detail my man. Hey build it like you want, but you can do better. This isn't a race. SLOW down, take your time, and bring all those details to life! Nobody's busting your chops bro, we see the talent in you we just want to see it developed. The points made were very appropriate. Take a breath, and read the replies again. "Listen" to what's being said. And keep 'em coming

Spectacular! Please tell us the trick. I have a diecast I want to work on and am just neeeding a push to start. G

If it has two wheels it has to have an engine between them. My knees won't do the pedalling thing anymore. G

Nicely done! I had one of these for my first car. Wish I still had it. G

Lookin' good from where I sit. I've built four of these kits now in various versions, your's is grand. It's clear you spend a lot of time on details so remember Google is your friend. Images of the real deal help a lot. Watch those hood edges on the next one. There is no easy way to paint a hood, but the way this one is mounted on the sprue helps a lot. I'm a closet armor guy m'self........................ G

Now that's cool. If I remember right they'd have put the antenna in the package shelf inside the back glass. We did that for years in detective cars. UHF band radios don't need a large whip for reception in an urban area. Trivia questions: What was Harry's rank and what was his badge number? Does anyone remember why he was called "Dirty Harry"? G

Oh that's nice! Love the Continental kit. Go all out and use the skirts. G

GORGEOUS! I was fortunate enough to see the real deal last week. That is one heck of a car and your build really does it justice. G G

Looking good Bruce! Remember the only door on the driver's side would be the driver's due to structural considerations. Full frame autos are limited by regs. There will be up to three doors on the passenger side but two is the norm. One for the front seat passenger, and one in back for the remainder of the "guests". Usually a bar or some type of entertainment center will be on the left side of the interior. As for the rest? Go crazy man, go crazy! G

My departmentt drove these as marked cars when I started. This was one of the only cars I ever drove that I had to move the seat up slightly to be comfortable. THEY WERE BIG! They'd run too, that shot of the taxi airborn is just about what it would look like going over the old streetcar tracks. G

Alrighty then! Looks like I just may order one. Thank You All! G

Who's making this kit? I could use about a dozen of these for all the ideas I have. G
