Yup. There seems to be some trouble loading pics on eModelcars too. All the ones that fail to load are fotki hosted. Of course, as far as I know, this information is of no pracital use, but I thought I'd kick my two bits in any how.

I was going to dust up the outside with earthtone pastells. That's mostly what the interior's done with- that and a thin black wash. I'm working on the litter now, trying to get my printer to produce some 1/25 trash that looks decent. The dash & seat color is Model Master ROT RLM 23 enamel from a jar lightened with about 20% white. Chevy's 1955 Coral is just what I was trying for. I must've hit it pretty close! Thanks, David G.

Just a quick update. I've got the interior done for the most part. I've decided to build this one as a care-worn daily driver that's driven by somebody who no longer cares that much about it. Not severely neglected, just a bit rough around the edges. I still have to dirty up the dash and steering wheel. Nice website! Your models are great and your dioramas are just plain awesome! You should get some more pics for each of the models. Larger photos with a higher resolution would allow more details to be seen. For each subject I post on my website, I usually make a thumbnail at around 250 X 180 pixels and set the money shot at around 640 X 480. I feel that the 640's as I've come to call them, are small enough for reasonable download times, but large enough to show some good detail. Use what the 1:1 bodymen use, Glazing-Spot putty. It should be in the same section where you buy the Bondo and comes in a tube like tooth paste. It goes on thin and smooth and sands out nicely.

I'm a very lucky man. My wife is an artist, so she understands the creative obsession. The need build or make something. She sees the "art" in modelbuilding. She's never used the "C" word... "cute" when commenting on any of my projects. I understand that for many women, the C-word can express a very high level of appeal, but many men feel that it is demeaning- puppies and babies are cute, not monster trucks! When I go to swap meets, model shows or contests, I don't get any grief from her. She knows that she's welcome to come along, and has even been to a couple events with me, but it's just not her thing. She knows that I'll want to spend hours and hours just wandering around looking at the same things over and over again. She's a patient person, but as I said, it's just not her thing. I'm a very lucky man.

I'm with you on this one. I just do the best I can with what I can get, and have a good time doing it!

I've never used the Dawn product, but these were soaking in Purple Power for only two or three hours and there was just a little bit of the glaze left in the pits and cracks. I'll try to remember to pick up some of the Dawn stuff and and see how it does.

I thought about building it as a gasser, but in my mind, a '55 Chevy gasser is almost cliche'. I decided to go more with a 70's style customized street dragster. A weekend warrior that you might see cruising the strip on Saturday night. Maybe it's time for a poll. So far we've got: Pepto Cruiser, Good-n-Plenty Racer and Pink Nightmare.

I have a soft spot for these cars. I had a 1:1 back in the 80's and now a kit to build. Good work pulling this one back from the edge.

This is a really fun kit to build. I did mine in black, but I didn't have the courage to attempt BMF on that much chrome trim, your's turned out nicely. I ended up painting mine and it doesn't look nearly as sharp.

I'm speechless... In a good way... I think. Seriously, it's very well done, and it answers the question: What ever happened to all those Zingers that were sold in the 70's?
