  1. I just remembered - there I a company out of LA (I think) that bids on items for customers in Japan. They get all shipments to LA then forward to Japan. I sold a couple kits to the company. It is not against eBay policy.
  2. I noticed those too. Very cool. I also noticed he was using something called Tamiya Texture? I haven't heard of that - not readily available stateside? Googled it this morning and most suppliers are HK or UK. Very cool project and excellent craftsmanship.
  3. Only 1200 Yen? Ya, right. Very cool find - I don't think I have ever seen that one. Full detail? Looks like it has the engine - cool. I would love to see some additional pics of this kit.
  4. Great subject matter!
  5. No they're not. If somebody else buys it, gets the kit and ships it to Australia, why would you care? If somebody bids on it, wins it, and then tells the seller to ship it to so and so in Australia, yes, but I don't think that's the case here.
  6. That's a great idea and build. I like the trailer conversion - great job.
  7. Very cool. Great job. There is a lot of Work in that thing you call "Twilight Zone" - and it shows. 10 fold improvement from the original.
  8. Dave - that's a great looking build. Thanks for posting the pics. I'll have to go through your Fotki album too. Notice: I didn't say great looking car, just a great looking BUILD. Man, Gremlins are homely.
  9. Oh, that's cool. A unique little build. Any better shots of the engine? That looks interesting too. That skull shifter should be looking the driver in the face - can't see the face in the pictures. Great model!
  10. Stacks? Like exhaust stacks? Intake stacks? Were they available in 1962?
  11. You should read the reviews section on this site. Same discussion just occurred a couple weeks ago. Really in this day and age, there shoul be no surprises. You can google any kit and get info on it and make your decision. You can also go right on Round 2's website and look at all the kits and descriptions.
  12. I used to have to paint outside when I lived In Montana - so, winters were cold. I used a box (one end open, like a paint booth but no fan) on the porch with an incandescent light bulb in it. I would warm the paint inside, turn the light on outside to get a little warmth in the box. Then put the body in the box and warm it with the bulb, spray, and leave it uner the warm lamp. My standards were different then I can not remember how good or bad the paint was, but it worked. It could be dangerous too, but I only exploded once. No, I never exploded, but don't say I told you to try it.

  14. Starting point: Engine will be based on the 390 block from AMT '62 Thunderbird. If I can find the right valve covers and produce a suitable decal, I would like to make it into a 406 - we'll see how that goes. The "Thunderbird" is too large on the AMT valve covers, I will try to acquire some covers from the Myterion 406s and see if they will work.
  15. That is a nice El Camino, Hans. Are there many of them driving around in Sweden?
  16. Great kit + great build = great model. Looks like a nice, clean build. Great job on the decals.
  17. You can't go by "buy it now" prices on unsold merchandise. You can go by prices of completed listings though.
  18. That will be a great looking engine. It would be really cool if you could get some "thunderbird special v8" decals for the valve covers.
  19. I like the paint!
  20. Very cool. I have seen one running around Spokane lifted like that - the whole lower half of the body is Rhino lined. Nice work.
  21. John - I remember seeing Jairus' drawing and loving it - then I watched your build of it - awesome. Thats my favorite of your builds.
  22. Ron - I am in. I'll be building a '48 Ford. I am using the custom version but will be built kind of stock looking. Power will be a state of the art 1962 power plant. Really like the idea of limiting the build to 1962 specs - made me sit and think this through! Patrik - that will be a cool and unique build - wish I could help you with ideas, but that is a blank spot for me!
  23. Tires are the old Good Year Polyglas hollow tires.
  24. You'll be able to buy the files, download, and print away!
  25. First time Cannonballer here - but, c'mon, 1962 is my favorite year for cars. Actually, might do something earlier...I love this idea. I've got to go to the stash and figure something to build (already have a 62 t bird going, so that's out for me). All the work so far looks good - hope I don't drag it down.
