  1. Very nice looking group of builds. I like that Impala - cool paint - and the Levin. Great year!
  2. Love that '62 - interesting color that really works on it. I like the simplified lowrider look. Nice builds - thanks for posting!
  3. Pretty car. Nice work.
  4. Which is weird - why would they omit such a simple thing? The 2 in 1 kits sell better too - Revell's words! Still is a good kit, but they will lose sales on a car like this.
  5. Depends a lot on what program you are using. You can easily resize images in most word processing programs by just clicking on the picture and dragging one of the corners to increase or decrease the image size. Copy and paste a few different sizes and print at the lowest quality. Measure your printouts and if one is the right size, delete the others, copy and paste multiple images of the correct size and print on photo paper on "best" quality - or print it onto decal paper.
  6. Thanks for the info - I went Google-ing and found some really nice 3T-GTE info. I have owned a number of Toyotas and worked on old 20 and 22Rs - still, never knew about these.
  7. I know, just giving a little ribbing. It is annoying that even the car articles have sleazy ladies OBSCURING the car!
  8. Here are the "California Wheels" parts - cool, large diameter wheels, alternator, custom valve covers and air cleaner: and lowered suspension parts with built in disc brakes: The rest of the kit is as great as all three in Revell's tri-five lineup.
  9. I picked this kit up a week ago and was pleasantly surprised - although it doesn't say anything on the box, it still contains almost all of the parts for a stock Del Ray. The only tires in the kit are the low profile street tires - so no stock. That is the only thing I could find that is keeping this kit from being a 2 in 1 kit. Stock steel wheels: Stock front and rear ends: Stock dog dish caps:
  10. Nice work - looks great. How did you get such a nice transition from the decals to the body?
  11. Very cool. I looked at all those plug wires and was thinking there appeared to be too many! I've never seen one of those engines before - what were the GT-Es used in?
  12. It is interesting - how well do the decals work? I couldn't see very well how they laid down in your photos. I also checked out the link - cool product and a nice tutorial on the website.
  13. Cool model and really cool diorama set up! The fall guy truck is a classic - built one back in the day. Nice work.
  14. Here is the Saturday night action!
  15. Those are some cool wheels. Going with the caps too, or plain steel?
  16. Kind of makes you feel guilty when the check out person sees the cover, eh? I only subscribe to one magazine - and it's not model or car related. I do buy every issue of MCM from a local shop. SA I peruse and buy based on content - hit and miss. Fine Scale same thing. Mopar Action (I think that's what it's called) on occasion. One of my favorites is Nostalgic Heroes, but it's not easy to find here in the States, is expensive, and is written in Japanese - so it's for the pictures only (and, no, there are not tattoo laden fancy girls adorning every page). They have some really great articles on classic Japanese cars.
  17. Splendid work! Very nice job on the conversion - nice idea and execution.
  18. Nice work this year. Some beautiful builds. Excellent work. Oh, and thanks for the great photography too - makes a huge difference for our visual pleasure.
  19. Is this is a new kit review? To be honest, the description above makes no sense to me. It looks like a direct translation without regard to context. Yardstick? Are these decals? What is happening here? I do like the picture of the happy child on the package.
  20. Cool site - thanks for the link. I love the art work involved in those old advertisements and brochures, like this one It makes me want to go see what it's all about.
  21. Air-Trax resin. Two Finns. Look in the resin section on this site or google it for info and pictures.
  22. You know, it's kind of interesting and might work with the right build. Funny, though, how we try to make our models look like real cars and these make a real car look like a toy.
  23. Modelmaster enamels are made by Testors and are the same as Testors - MOL. At least in the US they are. No idea on the thinner.
  24. Who are you building for? You? Or the accolades of a group of people online you really don't know that well? Also, you are assuming that no response is a bad response - not necessarily true. Many forum users just don't see fit to post "nice" just to add to a topics number count. While its a great model, it's not something most of us haven't seen, so I looked and thought "oh, nice looking build", but didn't post a response. Comments are also reciprocal - the more you give, the more you get.
