  1. Cute pictures.
  2. I was just looking at my model shelf and saw a 64 GTO and was wondering what happened with your body. Looks like the enamel won't cause any problems with the red. I would just watch if you plan to clear - I had a model with multiple layers of paint and no bleed through until my "wet" coat of clear (duplicolor).
  3. AMT did a camper van back in the 70s - I'll see if I can find a photo...
  4. J ust E mptying E veryone's P ockets I think most late model SUVs are mall rated - or, when the snow starts flying, lay-on-your-side-in-the-ditch rated. I am going to watch the Italian model commercial again.
  5. Great looking build of a great looking car. Looks like a nice kit.
  6. Great 70s look.
  7. You can search completed listings on eBay to see what the world market is like.
  8. Nice - and mundane. Great job building an everyman's ride. I like the 6 too.
  9. I know - it is the perception though. I actually would really consider a Fiat if I didn't need five seats to carry my family. It just looks fun.
  10. Really nice. The Nova actually looks different sitting that low. Nice details as well.
  11. Ya, I am pretty sure the Fiat dealer in Tacoma, WA (closest to me) can sustain a pretty good run and still have plenty of stock left - I was actually surprised how many they had. Really, the only thing it has going for it are its looks - and that Italian model commercial. It is small. It doesn't get the best mpg in the class. It is more expensive than other models in its class and it is very hard for people to forget the reliability issues rightfully assigned to old Fiats. The Honda Fit is cheaper, better mpg, and holds more people and cargo. So do many other models in the compact market. Still, J-Lo and Italian models....
  12. Looks great! Nice work! If the background were better I would swear that it's real!!
  13. Really cool paint - great looking build.
  14. Awesome work on the paint - that appears to be a lot of work. I like the whole look. Great job.
  15. Aren't here some prebuilt/prewired engines available? I think I saw some at hobbytown usa once. But, as Rob stated, most everybody wires their own and it is a skill you should learn - better results and greater satisfaction!
  16. I really like the new 500. The 500c with the opening top is cool. We looked at one but there is seating for only four, so a family of five is out. The Abarth is cool - and commercial is great too.
  17. Excellent work on the roof mods. Great looking car.
  18. Very nicely done. Unique subject and great execution.
  19. Very beautiful! Your hard work really paid off. I like the color/wheel/tire combo - nice package and great look.
  20. Engine: Interior: Underneath:
  21. Ah...first finished model after the summer break from building. This is Revell's 1964 T-bolt kit. I lowered it, added full wheel covers from AMT's 69 Galaxie, tires are from Revell's 49 Mercury, and most of the rest is OOB. Interior is donned with Marimekko fabric (or a decal version of). Paint is Duplicolor Hampstead Green and Universal Black. Interior is Duplicolor white.
  22. Wow! A 1/24 scale Land Cruiser? Now that is something worth getting excited about. I assume a rework, or "upgraded mould" of the Esci version? Looks cool - here The body looks like it will be a curbside, too bad - but most in the States have been converted to small block Chevys.
  23. Nice combo! I like the additional touches on the trailer - it's those little details that add realism to a model.
  24. That's a nice kit - I picked up another one after seeing how nice my first one was. Here is what I managed to get today - $36 dollars at Hobby Lobby (40% off coupon). Seems like a really great price for a good airbrush. I already have an Iwata Eclipse HP-BCS and wanted a gravity feed for shooting smaller quantities - so we'll see how this thing works out.
