  1. I like it. That paint job really looks great - I have visited it a number of times now.
  2. That turned out great. Absolutely no trace of that red plastic! I like the color and nice work on the paint job. I love the design and simple lines of the '64 Pontiacs.
  3. The '48 can - blue car, Good Guys release.
  4. Very nice paint work. Great looking build.
  5. Cool idea. Wow, that interior went from blurry to awesome in one frame! Looks really great so far.
  6. Really cool. I have been thinking of doing a dio - this pushes me closer.
  7. Model looks great. Story is great too.
  8. What Sam said. White Elephant - best prices - Lindberg and some Revell start at $10.98. They sometimes pull some old kit out of who knows where but mostly new releases. Had a Hudson for $22.95. B & B - best selection. A lot of AMT and Model King stuff. Hobbytown I would skip for car models. Poor selection and high prices. The only thing going for them is Tamiya (very hit and miss) and Alclad paints and plastruct parts. Workers there don't really know much about modeling. Michaels - I would skip unless you need a new release and have a good coupon - Limited selection. Hobby Lobby - what Sam said.
  9. Good looking build. Nice work on the small details.
  10. Colors are Duplicolor - Santa Fe Tan and Cordova Brown Metallic I am no expert on Fords. If you know 2 things, that would be twice as much as me. Researching the car I found there are some problems with the model, but overall, it is pretty close. The taillight area needs a little attention, the interior is not close (as far as I could tell with Google searches), and I think the top part of the front grill is actually attached to the hood - correct? Anyway - thanks for the comments! I appreciate it.
  11. Far out man! I have been looking in on the WIP for this car and it turned out great. Nice engine and paint.
  12. I believe this is the Revell '59 Chevy kit, correct? The molding is not molded in - it is a separate piece - so would that still ghost on the edge of the filler in the valley where the trim is supposed to go?
  13. I like what I see in the opening photo. Wheels and dog dish caps from 68 Charger? Where are the whitewall tires from? Going to be a nice color too.
  14. Is it "Meat" or "meet" Gothika? Looks pretty sinister. Pink interior?
  15. Very nice Mustang. Clean build.
  16. Great job this year. Nice, really nice Roadrunner. That 64 Dodge looks spectacular too. Nice all the way around.
  17. Nice looking mix of cars. Way to push it on the '51 - that would be a 1:1 blast.
  18. Oh no! It looks like the "back on the bench" builds are going back...into storage? I finished one kit so I am back to this... Not a whole lot left, and I will glad to be done with this. I am not sure what inspired me in the first place.
  19. Nice work on the wheels and tires. Trunk opening is cool too - don't see that on many modern cars. Nice build!
  20. Engine is pretty decent in this kit - I added some plug wires. The engine bay? Not so grand. If I ever come across another of these, I may spend time and remedy that (and the screw on chassis). Thanks for looking!
  21. AMT's old Police Interceptor kit. I found this kit last spring at a hobby shop and it has been staring at me from the shelf ever since. I wanted to make a quick build, but for some reason this was still on the bench for about 2 months. Pretty much straight from the box - I added some interior arm rests and wood panels, antenna, modified the kits side mirror, and drilled out and replaced the molded in headlights. I was going for a subdued 70s look with the colors and raised white letters. Some more shots coming...
  22. Pretty cool and an interesting subject. Leaves me thinking "why would somebody build that?" - but I like it more for that reason!
  23. What? That ordinary Joe won a Lamborghini, then lost control on his first outing? That's too funny! The insurance in that thing must be atrocious. Lucky he didn't hit somebody.
  24. When you say "glue", what kind of glue? Have you tried super glue with accelerator? Run a bead along the line your filling, shoot some accelerator on it and repeat until filled (wipe excess accelerator off between glue applications). The super glue dries to a very hard plastic. If you tried this already, I don't know what else to add. I assume you are talking about the area where the trim normally goes? Is that filled with filler? What kind? Try a two part filler if you used something like model putty from a tube.
