    64 GTO

Looks like a nicely built model. Clean construction. I like it when kits are built as pictured on the box - especially when they are oddly decorated or, as is the case with the '64, a dated, funky look.
  2. Nice! I have a couple Lupin III kits. Nice work on the Fiat and characters. Great old show too!
  3. It's not eBay. It's a marketplace with thousands of individual sellers. Some are businesses, some are weekenders, some are one timers just trying to get rid of stuff. Always check the estimated arrival date - sellers can put in how many they think it will take them to ship. A lot of inexperienced sellers don't know about the feature, though, and are the ones that don't realize how important prompt delivery is for good feedback, and thus, increased amounts for items sold.
  4. There is one listed right now for $15 but-it-now price.
  5. Yes, I do. I have been buying and selling on eBay since 2006 and have bought and sold probably close to 1500 items. I always check my shipments coming in. In those years I had zero problems. Not one missed package or "missent" delivery. In the last month I have had two packages delivered to wrong zip codes. I have no idea how the USPS manages that. One is still MIA, the other arrived a day later. Is that part of the "sequestration" penalty? Could just be regression to the mean...
  6. Very cool and nicely done. Not over he top crazy but different enough to be noticed. Great paint on the body and all the "metal".
  7. I like '61 Pontiacs - and I like your model. Nice work on all the small changes too. Really a beautiful model.
  8. Not to get you spending more money, but I prefer Alclad II over the MM metalizers. I like them both, but I like the Alclad better because it is a lot more durable and won't pull up as easy with masking. I use them both quite a bit, though, mix and match.
  9. Great looking Skyline. Nice clean building too.
  10. So many non-CDL rigs hitting that - they have a small excuse. A CDL driver hitting that? None. The camper guys don't even realize they hit.
  11. Or mask with BMF and paint with Alclad II for chrome or metal trim. I second the use of BMF for masking. You can cut it so easily on the model that you don't cut into the paint - unlike masking tape, which requires a heavier hand.
  12. Looking very nice. I really like the colors you have chosen.
  13. Double what Tom said. Do a quick completed listings search on eBay to get an idea of current market value. Sell the rare/collectible/expensive kits on eBay and the rest to local club members/swap meet/etc.
  14. Just in time for St. Patrick's Day! Here is the Monogram/Revell Dodge Viper RT/10. This is the most modern car I have ever built - and it's almost a 20 year old car now... This kit started life as a snap together, which I didn't know until I purchased one and read a review. There is still a good parts count and the parts, despite multiple reissues, are still pretty sharp. There is a lot of clean up, though, and lots of mold lines and weird things due to the "snap" features (some of which I didn't quite remedy, but I tried). I made a few custom alterations and changed the wheels and tires - they are from the new Revell 1962 Corvette kit. Brake rotors are Aoshima parts. The supension has been adjusted and it sits a couple inches lower. I added some basic wires to the engine as well. Color is Tamiya Candy Lime Green with MM Wet Look Clear. I apologize if the photos are too big - Photobucket finally switched on me today and I need to figure things out... Thanks!
  15. Nice green collection. Sorry to tell you, but here is that '49 in about 38 years...
  16. Great place to learn and be inspired. Thanks for joining Oscar.
  17. It's gone up in price and down in speed - or is that just me. That packages I have been buying this year take four to five days vs the old priority taking three. Maybe it's just who I have bought from or my imagination... I always use the online USPS for getting cost estimates. Do you have a scale and a tape? You should be able to figure out exact cost. There are limits to size for international shipping too (for priority - the expensive one). First class international has no tracking and no insurance, I think. I've never had a problem though, and have shipped to about 30 different countries.
  18. I was pointing out the ridiculousness of the writing - not really to be taken as I actually thought the cover never came off. The writing states that its been under cover for "45 years". You can't argue with exactly what the writing says. It's poorly written and full of exaggerations. If you like that style of writing, that is fine - but there is no need to try and defend it.
  19. Under cover for 45 years but with a 1980's Olympic jacket placed on the seat? Did he climb under the cover just to put the jacket on a seat "nobody has ever sat in"? The write up is embarrassing and full of hyperbole. They should delete all the stuff and just show pictures of the car.
  20. Chinese laborers now get 17.5 grains per car, causing manufacturers to explore labor markets in other countries where the more acceptable cost of 8-10 is still standard. Also, some countries not in Asia will do the work for beans.
  21. I don't think PE battery terminals look very realistic - they are generally too flat. You should be able to make simple ones out of styrene that look better. Some details - like bolt or screw details, are grey for PE.
  22. That's very cool, and tiny.
  23. Very nice! Great looking model. Nice work on the engine detailing.
