I don't care what anyone says....I love it!...one of my favorite body styles Pontiac made I liked every aspect of the real thing. I have one from my dads old collection to restore once the parts are found for it. My family owned a 69 and 70 both were beautiful cars and ran!
I plan to build/restore any I get a hold of to factory stock versions un-less there non stock optioned....but everything i get is a build for the future or present.
I have many old ones of my dads problem is finding parts they need to be able to build/restore them....think there is about 75 of them still to build/restore. I might have around 30 of my own to build or re-build.
Congrats Dave!... When me and my wife got together she did not understand my passion for building but she understands it also keeps me out of trouble too so she is fine with it. You still will build its just she and her son will need time from you too...its all in how you balance things. It might take you all some time to find the right balance you you all but you will. Besides you can make a builder out of him too and have time together to bond.
Nice stash guys.... some of you have my all time favorites in them. If I could send a photo of my dads collection I have I would but can only send a photo to an e-mail address so far.
Dean... I deal with those same problems myself due to nerve damage from a car accident....but I still wont let it keep me from my love of building--just have to find ways to get around the problems. Start with something really easy and work your way back up.
#1.... when he does something wrong that upsets you count to 10 and take a breath while thinking of things you did at his age. Its her child and her responsibility to teach him right from wrong...your job is to help her with everything consoling her first. When me and mine got married we inherited her 3 brothers due to her parents passing in a bad house fire 1 month before...its never easy but you will learn just be patient.
My brother owns a beautiful bright red 83 Rampage. I worked for a local Chrysler dealership when they came out the 2+2 and Shelby versions sold like hotcakes.
Mine would work as for Christmas too.... My goal is to finally find the old, rare, replacement parts for my dads old ones so I can get them restored before I cant....everything else is secondary at this point to me.
