  2. Marshall....I had the same thing happen to my 74 Plymouth kit and the Gremlin ones they both did the same thing????
  3. Alan... I have one of my dads that needs parts to restore it the body is basically the same as the Old Pro Nova with a different front clip and rear treatment...be nice to see these re-issued someday so I can fix my dads oldie and build one for me...LOL...
  4. Welcome John... I am a wagon guy too have one in my photobucket here of one I made...planing on building more that should have been kitted of the 60s era too.
  5. I have been looking for over 10 years for parts to repair my dads oldies...some are early 70s Dodge vans...1 of them is the window van way too cool not to come back someday.
  6. Hubley made kits and promos of the early 60s Ford wagons I have a 60 and 61 Ford wagon that was offered as a kit-which needs a body and glass and our local antique mall has a 62 Ford wagon promo.

I got started when my dad got me my first kit when i was around 6 or 7 years old been hooked ever since...lucky to still have my first one even though it needs lots of parts and a rebuild it was the old Johan Haulin-Hearse. I always liked passing the time building when I became disabled it was more important than ever and still is to me...great hobby with great people.
  8. Hang in there Dave and keep positive mind you can beat it...I had skin Cancer once took two times to remove it all but never came back or any other signs of it. My thoughts and prayers are your buddy.

  10. I like the 60s to mid 70s promos damaged or not like restoring them if possible otherwise they become models. My dad had a few some I already restored. I have Corvette promos from 70 to 95 years if anyone is looking for them..too new of a body style for me.

  12. Anne... With spring time weather coming don't forget garage sales and second hand stores are good places to look for models and good deals...been doing that for years.

  15. Good tip...I have used them for years to make things like a rail dune buggy or other items.

  17. Hi Anne... I thought the Lindberg 61 Impala kit was pretty good myself...nice detail and built pretty nicely so Id say it was a good kit in my opinion.
  18. I heard from Joe himself about his wifes passing...she had been pretty sick for awhile now but it never makes it any easier. I consider Joe one of my best friends and buds...his family has my prayers.

  20. Very nice... I have the Johan model been trying to restore. The decals make a lot of difference.
