There were a few 1970 GTO wagons...seen one in person wanted it bad too it was complete with the build sheet and window sticker.
Green with envy....love wagons.
My dads old collection was stored in even worse conditions than that....now mine they get the protection they need/deserve. Still finding replacement parts for them is a tough challenge many are rare or older 60s era models....thankfully there are a few here that are trying to help me find those needed parts so they can be returned to their glory and put into cases.
Every great once in awhile I find good deals at garage sales but there few and far between....bought a (real) 60 Impala SS HT for $75.oo once was in nice shape but had a bad camshaft. Plastic...best one recently was a General Lee kit open no decals for 2.oo.
I have to agree here....while looking trying to find parts for my dads old stuff so I can restore them I seen many small parts or just one part to a current kit that the asking price is the cost of the whole kit?????....Whats up with that and what are they thinking?????
Born in 64 for me the 64s would have to be....
64 Pontiac Bonneville HT or wagon
64 Chrysler Imperial and 300
64 Falcon/Comet...HT or wagon or Rancharo
64 Olds Cutlass
Back when I started many years ago I build a few....LOL... back then who cared it was fun but also luckily never did it to anything that became rare or hard to find. i do plan on trying to restore some of my better work from my childhood days once i can locate parts they need. I once took a box of mixed parts and build something from them all was about 8 years old and no money.
Same thing happened near my town a guy had a 70 Superbird let it sit in a field next to his house(I tried many times over the years to buy-trade-etc. for it so I could save the poor thing)...finally he did sell it but it too ripped in half behind the windshield and floor when they tried to load it....what a waste...
