  1. I would have needed a change of clothing after the ride????? Looks like it was a funny car from the inside of the body.
  2. Ebay would like to sell them again and get more so why would they hold the seller to a contract like they do the buyers....??? Of course there's always mistakes after all we all are only human but to let the sale to run its course and then back out is wrong in my opinion....a mans worth is his word to me.
  3. Too bad about the truck....ours narrowly got missed by one close to that size last year and the same thing-no wind or storm just gave up?
  4. Good to know...but ours is a joke too unless your into die-cast or military kits?
  5. I dont know about anyone else but every time I tried to use Krylon spray paint it etched the plastic with or without a prime coat???? So I just stay away from it myself.
  6. I have way too much time to pass so I build as long as I can each day or till I run out of things to do then its back to it the next day....cant even guess how many hours a week I spend doing model related work but I am not complaining one bit. As long as theres something to work on I am at it .
  7. Hi Mike....welcome to the plastic addicts place.
  8. Nice find there!... A friend of mine had a real one once. Build/rebuild to make yourself happy...but for me it would have to be a factory stock restoration I couldn't modify something like that myself. I believe its a 59 Oldsmobile 4door HT by the looks of it?
  9. Yep...it doesn't take long to build up a good stash of model kits or a collection. Other than for storage issues that might come up if one has a large stash, the good thing is you always have something to pass the time which since my accident I have an abundance of. If one enjoys what their doing and depending on the amount of time one has to pass a large stash can be a good thing. Me I usually build about 2 to 3 a week taking my time with them but I also have the time too. Some special builds do take a lot more time...restorations,conversions,modifying,detailing,etc. but out of the box builds seem pretty quick for me beings I am normally a factory stock builder but do build others as well.
  10. You got some there that should inspire you to build but we all have a personal stash tucked away...its just some have stashed them longer than others and have a few more. I have a large personal stash of my dads old models(most needing parts and or repairs)but someday they will be restored/repaired.
  11. Congratulations Mat and your wife... I wish you both only the best.
  12. I like everything about it George.... Very clean and COOL build!!!!! SWEET!
  13. Looks good to me.
  14. Hi Andy!....welcome to the board and sight!
  15. Nice workshop!!!! Your desk wouldn't even fit in mine...LOL...
  16. Pretty cool
  17. Hi Roy.... Thats SWEET!!!! And its great to see you being a caretaker of it. I have my dads old models and am trying to restore them so they will be in the family for a long time to come. I came across a mid 60s GMC 2 ton road tractor body for that scale a few years ago in a box of stuff I found...pretty cool.
  18. I am a 60s guy and I like it,I also live in a model dry town.
  19. Very nice build, I have a rough build up plan on converting into the first movie car(love that one). Great job on yours the weathering looks very realistic!!!
  20. Hi Jake... Very Very nice!!! Hope mine comes out 1/2 as good as yours.
  21. I have saved anything not used for a build for years. I also pick up damaged-junk kits/models for projects or just the parts if there really cheap. Garage sales are a good source of used and sometimes new models or parts. Never know who is going to need what...ya know?
