disabled modeler replied to bill_rules's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Bill... They look like the interior panels from a MPC 77 Mustang kit with a hatchback. -

jo han question
disabled modeler replied to fredgsanford's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks for the information Roy.... too bad Modelhaus does not make a lot of the parts needed, will have to hope to find the ones they don't . The first kit my dad got me started in building was an old Jo-Han(Haulin-Hearse)still have it but needs a lot to repair/restore and then there's all of his . Yep the subject matter of Jo-Han kits were always good to me and were detailed well. -
jo han question
disabled modeler replied to fredgsanford's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yeah it was a big bummer for me when Jo-Han closed up shop....always loved their kits and never cared about the flash they usually had. At least they made models of some no one else could or would I guess. I have many buildups to refurbish of my dads I have to hope I can find parts for sometime. To me they were one of the best out there. -
To me it is cool ether way....it is still a gas station and a great way to display built models. We had a Clark gas station just a block from us when I was growing up and looked a lot like the photo Ed posted.

Nice work on the old Olds

Hi David.... Nice cars looking forward to seeing more of them, welcome to the site you will find a lot of nice helpful people here. Mark

I like this build a lot....I use to work at a Shell gas station years ago but I use to go to a Clark station as a kid for soft drinks, etc. Cant wait to see the progress on it.

I hope it is better than ours....other than for paints I wouldn't ever need to go there. They were great when they first opened and quickly put everyone else in the area out of the model business. Then they got expensive. Then they cut way back on kits(down to a 10 foot section of shelving and its mostly die-cast,military,ships)now. Ours never gets anything fresh or new to the market....guess there selling enough fake flowers here?

Fish in the model room
disabled modeler replied to Mr. Moparman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Nice aquariums guys...peaceful watching them swim around. I also have wild rabbits, squirrels that know where to come for a free meal...LOL... -
The Tornado model I have has the cornering lights(thanks guys for the correction)at the bottom of the frt.fenders and believe it to be an MPC??? but not sure. My first real 1 to 1 car was a 72 Tornado would be cool to find one to build as my first car sometime...it was like a forest green with a tan vinyl top and interior,455cid.V-8 would run! If anyone has an extra hood, cornering lamps, taillights and wheel covers for a 67 I could used them(I know off topic sorry)Mark

1972 Pontiac GTO to LeMans conversion?
disabled modeler replied to Drake69's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I am trying to do the same thing to a 69 GTO into a 69 LeMans...hood seems to be the only issue with it? -
Fish in the model room
disabled modeler replied to Mr. Moparman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
No fish here. I have cats but there not allowed in the room....got tired of looking for parts...LOL... Besides its too noisy in there for them right now with all the unexpected remodeling due to the storm. There both adopted...one was left in front of my house in a paper bag :angry:a pure blood seal point Siamese that loves everyone....the other was 4 weeks old an found under a truck hiding. They have a good home now. -

We're having a heat wave...
disabled modeler replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Our pickup AC does not work-compressor bad and only one window works and so it sits just too hot to get into for anything. -

Hi Jonathan... Welcome to the site and back to model building! You will find a lot of understanding and helpful people here...know I did. -
Nice kit! I have one of those from my dads collection...first to find the hood and frt.fender turn signals and wheel covers. I have always like this body style too...they just look like a mean machine .
