Jeremy.... I use spray can dull coat sprayed from the top down on the areas that face up only for a aged look. Flat tires can be made using a lighter on the area you want flat and once hot enough apply pressure down on it to the desired look and hold till cool..( be careful not to burn your hands or anything else). If you want I can send you some photos of one i did as a junkyard relic...just send me a PM with your e-mail address.
Id love to see more 1/25th or 1/24rth scale pleasure boats with trailers kits out there in plastic....anything from the 60s and up would be cool. I have a few already but would be interested in others if they made them for us.
Pat... that is cool. I have very fond memories of building the series as a kid...sadly ill never find or be able to afford the ones I on my bucket list.
Welcome Matthew...! Sorry to hear about the MS. I have challenges too but love to build and restore models and promos. I find if one takes their own time its easier I have numbness and dexterity issues with my hands at times so I build very slow...LOL.. I have an uncle that lives close to you..nice area.
Al...it will need the body, glass, long body side landau bars, rear door ass.,maybe interior tub too..? If i could find those parts I can restore it. Thanks for asking.
Al....its missing the... drive axle parts...and the decals are dried up and bad....think that is all..??? I have a Heavenly Hearse one too that got damaged in our storm we had.
Rusty...here is another tip I got a long time ago that has never failed me. Treat every part as if it were a model itself and building is no race take your own time building. Use this and your builds will get better every time you build one.
Cool project....I have a few I want to convert into to 1 ton duallies and one a crew cab. Finding those wheels and tires might not be fun for mine unless someone has a few sets laying around from that kit.
