The Story McNally plots again to have Hawk take another shot at Jacob Anderson as he dines with friends that he knows. Hawk takes a shot at Jacob and he quickly leaves the scene in the beat-up sounding old car that McNally provided having to be careful to shoot above Jacob's head at the fence. Jacob is definitely getting nervous! The Build I added another two coats of Tamiya TS-54 Light Blue Metallic to the Charger body today. It looks great!

Thanks John! I'm hoping for something more than just good! The modeler's block is something I am trying to kick and this sure seems to be a way to defuse it!
-
Thanks Carl! This is a nice kit and so far, it is assembling up very well.

I spent a little time on the 442 installing the front and rear suspensions. Then I painted the exhaust system with Tamiya XF-16 Flat Aluminum and Tamiya X-11 Chrome Silver. The chassis and suspensions will be painted the Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black.

I started some assembly on the chassis. I assembled the rear end and left it in the chassis overnight to harden and then I'll paint everything with Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black.

I have been going through some sort of modeler's block. I haven't felt like working on anything in a while. I still have two other projects that need simple finishing and I haven't felt like working on them at all. They'll get done!

mk11, I got your email. Thanks!

Interesting! I followed the instructions to the letter and even they are wrong. They show the widest part at the top. Thank you for pointing the error of my ways, or should I say the instructions ways. I corrected the misleading valve covers and turned them around. I looked at my '72 Hurst Cutlass Convertible and the valve covers are on the correct way with the wider section at the bottom.

Another project that I had started work on-'67 Merc Cyclone GT. To be built as a second day car with wide Goodyears and Cragar SS mags and painted with Tamiya TS-11 Maroon.

A project that I started work on-'71 Olds 442 W-30. This will be built stock with an automatic transmission and painted with Tamiya TS-43 Racing Green.

Model Cars Magazine Pens
mrmike replied to sfhess's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
Usually, free pens are of a disposable type. They offer free advertisement, but they do come at a cost to the advertiser. My Club used to offer them, but they fail to write or just broke apart when you looked at them. -
I had decided a while ago to add the scripts to the left side of Will Trent's Porsche 911 Targa. But, adding them was another matter altogether. Do I use my airbrush or a felt tip marker? I decided on a felt tip marker since I can go over the script if needed and it was needed since my first marker was low on ink. The script is not exact, but close enough. The third picture is all of the parts I need to chrome plate.

Looking good! I built this kit several years ago. I had an issue of gluing a Revell hood scoop and the glue didn't melt the plastic. I eventually super glued the scoop to the hood and left it to sit for a few days before primer and paint.

Sorry to hear of your problems with this build. Set it aside and think on it for a little bit and then get back to it. BTW, I have a similar kit of the '65 Galaxie to build, but that will come about much later.

I got my physical copy last week in New Hampshire, but I also got a digital copy the day before in my email. Maybe I should have checked here first before sending out an email inquiring about this?

A couple of years ago, I had a hair-brained idea of building a Roadrunner from the '71 GTX kit with a bench seat, a column mounted tach and an automatic shifter on the column. I bought the Revellogram Fast & Furious Dom's '71 GTX and removed all of the GTX trim and logos, added a bench seat with the bucket seat pattern built in, added the tach on top of the column with an automatic shifter. Used the aftermarket wheels and tires in the kit and painted the whole thing with Model Master Green-Go Spray.

Excellent job! A friend of mine wants to build a '65 with the '66 chassis to have a detailed chassis. I wished him luck!

Reminds me of Maybellene, the '58 Lincoln Continental built by Kindig-It-Design. Excellent job!

Thanks David! At this point, the interior has been built and is completed. I do thank you for the offer of the interior pictures, but at this point, they are not needed.
