Well, my good camera took a dump and stopped working today. I went and got my wife's camera and she left the batteries in it for over 5 years. I had to clean the contacts very well. The wheels and backing plates are one and I will have to shorten the metal axle for the rear axle housing. There must be a guy in China who pumps out these things all one length as I have to trim them! I went and found my chrome tubing and made some chrome exhaust tips.

Thanks David and Bill! I have to find my container of used paint and see if I have enough. Someone elsewhere suggested and weathering the model and making it look sunburnt.

After viewing someone else's '69 GTX, I decided to pull out mine which I had started a couple of years ago and never finished it. I went to clearcoat the model and I forgot that the paint used was MCW Enamel and not MCW Lacquer which was what I have been using for years. Since this was a gift from a model club friend, I realized my mistake, but the damage was done. I have a little paint left and maybe it will be enough to finish off my GTX.

The 455 CI Olds engine is nearly complete. I just need to wire the engine and add the ram air air cleaner.

We have known each other for quite a while, that's for sure! No need to apologize. I should have known, but never picked up on it like I should have. I have watched all 8 seasons of Garage Squad and I have do have my favorites and they do motivate me when needed.
-
Thanks Greg and Mike! I had originally gone with the green and then I watched Garage Squad Season 2 Episode 1 and saw the '72 442 in gold. I just had to have it! So, the new color of my '71 442 W-30 is Gold! Now to figure out the interior color.
-
Another color change as I seem to do this quite often. The color is Tamiya TS-21 Gold. This is close to the color of a 1972 Olds 442 that I saw being rebuilt on TV's Garage Squad S2 E1. I haven't decided on using the white or black stripes yet. The chassis is complete, but the engine needs to be finished.

Thanks Len, Carl and David! I have liked the Mercury version better. Maybe it was a higher class of car or something. Mercurys, like Buicks may have a lower HP rating, but they show how fast they are at the strip!

Thanks Jeremy! Now to remove the tape from the body.

The Story McNally is sitting in his easy chair at his safehouse when his door rattles. With his Smith & Wesson Model 4506 at his side, he approaches the door and looks through the peephole and he sees someone he hasn't seen in a while...Claire Corbin. He lets her in and she tells him that she was approached to kill him, which she turned down. McNally thinks that maybe it time to bring this all to an end! The Build I added the blackout trim to the Charger after masking the body.

Selecting color can be difficult at times. For the Cyclone, I thought of dark green, an assortment of blues, silver, maroon and red. I went with red based on a picture I saw on Google Images. I found some trash on the rear deck which will be cleaned up Then I need to paint the interior roof Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red.

I figured that you might have been. I'll stick with my reasoning not to build another though.

Thank you everyone! dwc43, I had debated with myself over having the graffiti or not and I chose to go with the graffiti on the side since that is the way the car was in the beginning of the show. It shows how he is disliked or even hated by the APD (Atlanta Police Department). If you don't remember, the car was repainted for nothing by Paul Campano. I'm not sure if I would do another Porsche 911 Targa.

Finished! My Will Trent 1973 Porsche Targa. I think I used a 1984 model and converted it to a 1973 model. Not my best work, but a decent representation of Will's Porsche.
-
I have finished my Will Trent's 1973 Porsche 911 Targa and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have viewed, commented and helped me on this build.

I finished the 390 CI engine minus the air cleaner decal and installed it into the chassis. The chassis is finished with all parts painted and installed. Now to start on the interior.
-
I wanted some valve covers that had the printing on them that said "Powered By Ford" and those where the only ones I had in my parts box. I know they are wrong, but they are close to what I want. I have changed my mind about the color and maroon is out. I have decided on Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red instead.
-
Thanks Ricky! I have been detailing many things in this kit and I am not done yet. The 390 CI engine is being worked on. I found some chrome valve covers in my parts box and added them to the engine. The kit instructions wanted me to paint their valve covers and I opted not too.
-
The chassis so far and I guess it is about as complete as it going to be. The steering wheel in the kit looked like it came from a NASCAR kit and so I dug into my parts box and found this and it needed some holes drilled into the spokes for a little more pizazz. Since this is a "day 2" car, it looks at home.

Thanks D.W.!

I added my chrome parts last night. The only part I wasn't able to add was the antenna base which I immediately lost when I removed it from the sprue. On to decals and then I think it's done!

Looks great! I have a special place in my heart for Buicks as my parents owned a '60 LeSabre and a '65 Wildcat.
