This is my '69 GTO "The Judge" that I built several years ago. I tried to build it stock and added some details that others might overlook like the side markers on the lower front valance.
-
The stance is all wrong and I have been filing the front suspension to fit over the front frame of the chassis around the engine plus I am trying to clean up the mess I have made. I'm not sure why the front sits so high, but I will try to get it lowered some. More Pace Car to come...

I tore the front suspension apart as I didn't like the high riding suspension. I took my hobby knife and a file and removed some of the material from the front suspension in an effort to lower the nose of the car. So far, it looks pretty good, but I may do more. More Pace Car to come...

Thanks Jeremy!

I am almost finished with the Mustang Pace Car. I may lower the front of the Mustang since in typical fashion, Revell has molded the front end in a high position.

Just for the heck of it, I added the seat belt harness to the interior with a piece of photoetch and some belt material that I had laying around. I removed the original seat belt hangers from the seats, added photoetch hangers, seat belt material, a little super glue and wha-laa! Seat belts!

Thanks J. Pierre, Carl and David! As usual, I forgot to paint the side view mirrors and I pulled them out of the box and painted them red. They should be black to match the trim! What was I thinking?

Thanks Jeff! Good luck on your 2003 Mach I!

Looking forward to this one, Jeremy!

Thanks Guido, Mike and Greg!

I was thinking about the missing decal sheet for this GTO and I remembered a set of floor mats on the sheet. I have a Revell '66 GTO kit that has the decal sheet in it and I made a copy of the decal sheet on paper and then I cut them out and inserted them into the interior. Looks good!

Looking forward to your C3 Corvette Joe!

Looking good John! I have this kit in my stash and I have been looking at other builds and trying to decide on colors I want to use.

My one and only Woodie. 1949 Mercury Woodie with Pegasus Sovereigns and whitewall tires and a windshield visor with custom supports.
-
Thanks Jeremy! I have been doing some detailing and I need to add the headlight lenses and get rid of the dog hair!

I spent a few minutes on the Boss 302 tonight. I added the lights and turn signals, stanchions for the rear spoiler and I masked the rear panel for some flat black paint.
-
Thanks David! I'm really happy with the repaint!
-
Thank you Steve! The interior and the body repaint went together better than I expected.
-
I worked on the GTO interior and it is complete! Then I repainted the body with several coats of Tamiya TS-87 Titanium Gold and it came out very well!

Fussy is a better word for that assembly! I had a little trouble, but what I wouldn't it call trouble. Fussy is the better word! I had to use tweezers for mine and lining them up into their proper locations took a little time. Fussy.

That color was reported to me by someone else when I first painted my '66 GTO. I may have to visit my LHS for a can. Nice Impala SS427! Was it the Revell '66 GTO or the AMT '67 GTO? They may look similar, but are different in builds. I was told the Revell kit was the better kit. Craig, I built the custom version and converted it to stock.
