Thank you guys!

I put this model back in the box and put the box on the shelf for later. I do have a couple of ideas and I may work on them later.
-
Looking good John! I'm building one as Mike Finnagan's Blasphemi with a Hemi engine. Right now it is on hold as I work out some issues I have with the model.
-
Looking great! I love the color!

Thanks Mike! I have a renewed interest in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. lately and I now possess the first season the UNCLE on DVD, The Return Of The Man From U.N.C.L.E.: The Fifteen Years Later Affair and the latest movie on DVD directed by Guy Ritchie.

Thanks Jeremy, David and Carl!

Thanks David! I did a mockup of the UNCLE Car this morning and all seems to be coming along rather well.
-
That is why I post my WIPs here, David! To show what I do whether a problem is created by me or it is a kit issue and how I solve it. Thank you guys! I inserted the drive shafts through the transaxle and I found the driveshaft a little too short. I replaced the driveshaft with a piece of styrene rod that was longer and I trimmed the rod length to fit the wheels perfectly.

I worked on the UNCLE Car today. First modeling building I have done on this since painting the body on January 10th. I got the engine installed, front and rear suspension installed and the chassis cemented in place. I keep my hopes up, but this kit is a pile of doo-doo.

Thank you guys! Anthony, I had hoped that the show would make a come back, but like you said, the actors have moved on. I keep hoping...

I have completed my Stumptown '91 Mustang GT and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have taken the time to view and to comment on my WIP.

Stumptown 1991 Ford Mustang GT From the TV series "Stumptown" starring Cobie Smulders as Dex Parios. I used the AMT 1987 Ford Mustang GT kit with a set of resin Pony wheels and a scratch-built "Tree" air freshener.

Yeah, I forgot to "mist" my lacquer clear on. The thing is that this paint was rock hard and slightly resistant to sanding with coarse sandpaper. Oh well, I'll sand it with my polishing pads and go from there.
-
Thanks Jeremy! I forgot to "mist" my clear on. I also forgot that this was MCW Enamel not Lacquer like I thought it was. It was rock hard and resisted sanding.
-
Thanks Carl! It seemed close.

I masked the rear and side windows and painted it with Tamiya TS-6 Matt Black and glued it in with Mod Podge.

The U.N.C.L.E. Car has been painted with Tamiya TS-58 Pearl Light Blue. While I was at it, I painted the seats with Tamiya TS-29 Semi-Gloss Black. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. will return...

I went and clearcoated the GTX this afternoon and it went rather well until I got to the top of the roof and the trunk panel. Looks like my Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear was a little too hot for the MCW Enamel paint. Looks like I have some wet sanding to do later. More GTX to come...
-
Thanks Bill and Jeremy!

I finally finished foiling the GTX. I had to finish the foiling the drip rails and the side vent windows. After I had done that, I painted the interior roof with Tamiya XF-1 Flat Black.

My third car that I owned was a 1970 Plymouth Duster 340. Manual everything with exhaust headers. Was a well-used money pit as I had replaced the clutch, starter, tires, regulators, trued the wheels, and repaired the taillights so they wouldn't leak. This car was a love-hate affair. I loved to hate it!

I would like to suggest spending a little time reworking the rear valance and exhaust tips. I sanded the valance panel smooth, enlarged the openings and made new exhaust tips from aluminium tubing. You build is looking good! -
The least you can do is to clean it and slap it back together again. Since it is apart, you can repaint, repair and rebuild it better than before.
-
Since you've got it apart, you might as well head for the kitchen sink and wash that old build with an old toothbrush and some dish washing detergent.
