  1. The kit I got was loaded with flash! I wouldn't recommend this kit, but to a person with mega-patience. you must have gotten an early kit.
  2. My newest project, the 1982 Dodge Street Van. Even though the box says Rescue 911 Ambulance., I dipped into my parts box for the parts to make the Street Van. I will paint the van with Testors One Coat Lacquer Mystic Emerald with the custom interior painted a contrasting green. The engine will be wired and has been assembled and holes drilled in the distributor cap and the heads for the wires.
  3. Thank you everyone! This build is not perfect, but it does look nice!
  4. Thanks Ken! A friend of mine from the Classic Plastic Model Club just picked up the same kit and I told him that this kit is a piece of junk. Maybe he'll listen to me or not.
  5. Thank you everyone! Your words mean a lot to me!
  6. The '97 Mustang GT is almost done. I just have to add the windows to the body, install the body onto the chassis and I am done!
  7. Thank you EMRE, Carl, Mario and Vince! This kit was a pain in the a**, but if I had to do it all again, I would use the same kit and complain about it!
  8. It is finally done! My '71 Olds 442 W-30 is finished after over a year of construction time and just plain ignoring it. The paint is Tamiya TS-21 Gold with a Black interior and Black stripes, wide and wider tires.
  9. Thank you Jeff and Larry!
  10. Michelle, this is the old kit with WalMart packaging and I bought it from a friend in my Model Club.. Like most AMT/MPC kits, it stinks! I had a lot of trouble with it. Thank you Michelle and Andy!
  11. Thank you Larry!
  12. This is my Blue Bloods ‘71 Chevelle SS 454 painted with Tamiya TS-58 Pearl Light Blue, Black interior, Cragar SS mags. The real car is an automatic and the model is 4-speed.
  13. It is actually a 440 with a 6 pack.
  14. Thank you everyone! For over 10 years this model needed some finishing touches and I think I have finished it!
  15. My 1976 Dodge Dart Sport rebuild is complete. It is Under Glass.
  16. My 1976 Dodge Dart rebuild is done! It features Cragar SS mags, side stripes from the '71 Demon 340, 440 CI 3 2-barrels, a Pistol Grip Hurst shifted 4-speed transmission, cheater slicks, hood scoop and a custom interior seating.
  17. I added the left over side stripes from the '71 Dodge Demon 340 and I removed the roll bar and changed the steering wheel. This is looking more stock than it did before!
  18. I was talking to Tim Rhine at the Club Meeting the other day and I noticed the Weekend Warrior 1976 Dodge Dart Sport over his shoulder and asked if I could see it. The kit appears to be a copy of the 1976 Dart Sport that I built years ago and was in need of a rebuild. I built mine not stock, but it now has a 440 6 Barrel (I know its wrong. Should be 6 Pack.) 4-speed with a Pistol-Grip shifter, Cragar SS mags, custom exhaust and cheater slicks. The car needs side stripes and new graphics. Let see what I can do...
  19. Well Ken, it's like this, I have removed so much flash from this model. For a kit that is this old and not used that much, the tooling shouldn't have that much usage on it. But, it does!
  20. Thanks Anton!
  21. Thanks Stuart! This seems to be the way according to several people I have talked with.
  22. The chassis has been assembled and is awaiting to be painted. The exhaust system has been painted with Tamiya X-11 Chrome Silver and will get a coating of Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color.
  23. I Finished the grille and the rear bumper. The engine compartment needs radiator hoses to finish.
  24. I have removed the windows and will clean out the tracks for them. I will also trim the windows so they will fit the tracks better. Decals then clearcoat then the windows.
  25. Why am I having trouble with the windows? Does anybody else have trouble with the windows of this kit or any other kit? These have been re-glued 3 times!
