  1. I removed most of the green metallic paint this morning. Now for a lot of sanding.
  2. That is were my troubles began! The trigger didn't react like it should and it sprayed very heavy. Light coats?!!! I wished!!!
  3. Thanks David, Evan, Tom and Bob! The color matches my '61 and '62 Chevys perfectly. This is going together so fast and I need to slow down a bit since this model is not due until October for the Classic Plastic Model Expo Club Challenge.
  4. Another mockup! I wanted to see the painted body and chassis together. Looks good! This is due in October and it is going together rapidly. Bare Metal Foil is next.
  5. Thanks Zippi and Greg! I shot the interior with Tamiya Pearl Light Blue and I knew I had to go out and get another can of Dupli-Color Light Blue Metallic paint. It was worth getting!
  6. I painted the Street Van yesterday and I had a very difficult time judging the nozzle on the Testors Lacquer can. The Street Van is in the tub covered with Easy Off Oven Cleaner to remove the paint.
  7. Thanks Curt! I ran out of Dupli-Color Light Blue Metallic paint and reached for my substitute Tamiya Pearl Light Blue. Close, but no cigar! I'll have to run out and get some if I can find it.
  8. I did some paintin' today. I still don't know how I'm going to paint the hood/nose of the car?
  9. I did some paintin' today on several projects.
  10. Been working on the Jaguar XK-E off and on today. Got all of the windows and the windshield in, the taillights and backup light and I gave the Coupe body a polishing. I still haven't decided on how I'm going to repaint hood/nose of the car
  11. I decided to start on the Jag Coupe again. Made a mess out of the nose piece which I will have to repaint. Just call me "Bumblefingers"!
  12. Thank you Atin!
  13. I did a mock-up of the Impala SS to check the stance. I like it! On this Chevy, I tried to do a pose like the picture I had found on Google Images and I copied the stance exactly! Now, to paint all of this. The bottom picture is my screen saver on my computer and my inspiration for this build.
  14. Thanks Lei! Stay tuned, there will be more!
  15. Thank you Jim, John, David, Larry, David, Carl and Donato!
  16. The basic engine has been assembled and drilled for ignition wires. The chassis has been assembled and is ready for semi-gloss black paint. The wheels and tires have been assembled and painted since the decals didn't fit and they had separated.
  17. My '97 Mustang GT is finished and over on Under Glass. I would like to thank everyone who has viewed and commented on my WIP.
  18. It is done! My '97 Mustang GT is done and I couldn't be happier! This kit was a bear to build. It sits high. Some parts fit was awful. The front track is too wide. The hood has no clearcoat since I did run out of it. A trip to the LHS is in order.
  19. These are the last pictures of the 360 engine that I am going to take. The engine is done and it is what it is.
  20. Thanks Alex! I moved the oil filter to the other side of the engine block.
  21. I hope so, too Brenton! The wheels and tires are done and the engine is getting there. I just need to add the air cleaner and the ignition coil. I am probably going to far adding details the a van without an opening hood.
  22. Thanks MM and Carl!
  23. I painted the engine last night before turning in. I added the valve covers, carb and wired distributor to the engine block this morning.
  24. The kit I got was loaded with flash! I wouldn't recommend this kit, but to a person with mega-patience. you must have gotten an early kit.
