Just so you know, this kit has long since been out of production. Maybe you can find one in a out-of-production website or something.

This was a can of lacquer from a few years ago. I now buy strictly Tamiya paints since they are easier to use and the nozzles don't stick. I have been sanding the Dodge Street Van this afternoon and my fingers hurt. Still a long way to go. The driver's side looks decent, but the passenger side has a long way to go. -

I have a similar paint color in a Tamiya spray can that I plan on using. Did you have to strip your paint as well? -

The radiator hoses are on. If this is the wrong positions, too bad! Now I can concentrate on the body. -

There is something missing from this kit! No cross member to hold the exhaust system up. Plus there are no radiator hoses for cooling. Lucky I have some extras in my parts box! -

Let me tell you about an incident I had with Rustoleum. I went and pulled a brand new can of Hemi Orange spray paint from my paint drawer and it was completely empty of propellant. No leakage I found. I sent a note to Rustoleum and received a 3 pack of Hemi Orange spray paint about a week after I went out and bought a new can of spray paint.. Then I read the notice about Testors/Model Master paint was going away. The president wants us to buy American, but superior product comes from overseas. -

Carl, I do remember you from the old days of the Scale Auto forum. I wished they had at least kept the forum, but now that is gone like the magazine. I remember a lot of the people from that forum, good and bad. Since Testors was bought out by Rustoleum, you can't rely on their cans of paint for a long time or they start to leak. Some don't and some do. I only use half of a can or less of paint. The president wants us to buy American, but how are we suppose to do that when the cans don't last that long? -
I appreciate the replies Carl and Anton! The hood really needs to be repainted and I know you guys don't want me to repaint it. It has to be done and if I can, I'll repaint the nose and the joint, buff it in and not repaint the entire hood. I have more trust in a can of Dupli-Color paint than I do in a can of Testors paint.
 -
The joint where the lower valance and the hood assemble together was totally messed up and I was able to repair it. Now the joint needs the repaint to look better. If I could get away without the repaint, I would, but the hood needs it. I'm sorry if the pictures don't show the damage.

I stuffed blue painter's tape into the headlights and the grille area of the Jaguar XK-E Coupe's hood/nose. I should be ready to repaint the hood/nose of the car.

That is were my troubles began! The trigger didn't react like it should and it sprayed very heavy. Light coats?!!! I wished!!! -
Thanks David, Evan, Tom and Bob! The color matches my '61 and '62 Chevys perfectly. This is going together so fast and I need to slow down a bit since this model is not due until October for the Classic Plastic Model Expo Club Challenge.
 -
Another mockup! I wanted to see the painted body and chassis together. Looks good! This is due in October and it is going together rapidly. Bare Metal Foil is next.
 -
Thanks Zippi and Greg! I shot the interior with Tamiya Pearl Light Blue and I knew I had to go out and get another can of Dupli-Color Light Blue Metallic paint. It was worth getting!

I painted the Street Van yesterday and I had a very difficult time judging the nozzle on the Testors Lacquer can. The Street Van is in the tub covered with Easy Off Oven Cleaner to remove the paint. -
Thanks Curt! I ran out of Dupli-Color Light Blue Metallic paint and reached for my substitute Tamiya Pearl Light Blue. Close, but no cigar! I'll have to run out and get some if I can find it.

Been working on the Jaguar XK-E off and on today. Got all of the windows and the windshield in, the taillights and backup light and I gave the Coupe body a polishing. I still haven't decided on how I'm going to repaint hood/nose of the car
 -
I decided to start on the Jag Coupe again. Made a mess out of the nose piece which I will have to repaint. Just call me "Bumblefingers"!
