  1. My 1976 Dodge Dart Sport rebuild is complete. It is Under Glass.
  2. My 1976 Dodge Dart rebuild is done! It features Cragar SS mags, side stripes from the '71 Demon 340, 440 CI 3 2-barrels, a Pistol Grip Hurst shifted 4-speed transmission, cheater slicks, hood scoop and a custom interior seating.
  3. I added the left over side stripes from the '71 Dodge Demon 340 and I removed the roll bar and changed the steering wheel. This is looking more stock than it did before!
  4. I was talking to Tim Rhine at the Club Meeting the other day and I noticed the Weekend Warrior 1976 Dodge Dart Sport over his shoulder and asked if I could see it. The kit appears to be a copy of the 1976 Dart Sport that I built years ago and was in need of a rebuild. I built mine not stock, but it now has a 440 6 Barrel (I know its wrong. Should be 6 Pack.) 4-speed with a Pistol-Grip shifter, Cragar SS mags, custom exhaust and cheater slicks. The car needs side stripes and new graphics. Let see what I can do...
  5. Well Ken, it's like this, I have removed so much flash from this model. For a kit that is this old and not used that much, the tooling shouldn't have that much usage on it. But, it does!
  6. Thanks Anton!
  7. Thanks Stuart! This seems to be the way according to several people I have talked with.
  8. The chassis has been assembled and is awaiting to be painted. The exhaust system has been painted with Tamiya X-11 Chrome Silver and will get a coating of Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color.
  9. I Finished the grille and the rear bumper. The engine compartment needs radiator hoses to finish.
  10. I have removed the windows and will clean out the tracks for them. I will also trim the windows so they will fit the tracks better. Decals then clearcoat then the windows.
  11. Why am I having trouble with the windows? Does anybody else have trouble with the windows of this kit or any other kit? These have been re-glued 3 times!
  12. That's good to know, David! Dealerships have changed considerably since then. I wonder if the colors are black silver, grey white?
  13. Its the lighting, not fogging.
  14. The color is a non-color shifting paint that I know of. It is Dupli-Color Amazon Green Metallic.
  15. The chassis is finally completed. The front tires will be changed for a different set from my parts box.
  16. Thanks Tom! The paint is a metallic, but it does look like a pearl was added to it.
  17. Thanks Carl and Bill!
  18. The more I looked at the interior tub with the bucket seats and console, the more I want to separate the seats from the console as they are one piece. I separated the seats from the console and will fill in the missing piece on the right seat and the console. It would have helped if I didn't glue in the seat assembly like I did.
  19. I used Model Master Gray Primer Lacquer that I had left over from a previous project.
  20. That paint is Dupli-Color Amazon Green Metallic.
  21. I thought ModelCarsMagazine had gotten itself back on track, but that doesn't seem to be happening. I am holding off on renewing my script with them. Maybe I start a script with Auto Modeler Magazine. They may be new, but at least they are on track!
  22. The paint was also flying on the '97 Mustang GT. Have a look...
  23. Paint was flying today as I had painted the body, hood, rear panel and the chassis of the Blue Bloods '71 Chevelle.
  24. Thanks Topher and David! I have the '61 and '62 impalas painted in that blue and I want to add a '63 to it as well. I guess I have a "thing" for that blue. LOL
  25. Same color combo as mine. Good job!
