  1. Thanks Jeff, Andy, Bob, Lei and David! I wanted a '56 T-Bird and this built-up was given to me by a fellow who thought I built my '57 T-Bird very well. My '57 was a copy of the Thunderbird from the TV series Vega$ starring the late Robert Urich.
  2. The T-Bird is done except for the porthole top which needs to be repainted in white.
  3. 1956 Ford Thunderbird The T-Bird has got the body assembled to the frame and now I am adding some of the chrome bits to the body. The taillights have been painted and detailed. I should decide on a color for the top, be it white or red. It has been painted white, but I'm not happy with it.
  4. I got this kit at the Club Meeting yesterday. This is a Snap Tite kit from Revell and I decided to go ahead and build it in spite of the other projects I have on the bench. I'm just gonna polish the body and paint the trim and the chassis details and then add the stickers. No decals with this kit. Let's see what final assembly gives me...
  5. Looks great! Excellent job!
  6. Movin' forward! Another coat of Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red on the '56 T-Bird! Now to let it dry and reassembly!
  7. Thanks Bob! I'm hoping to repaint the T-Bird today.
  8. It's been a while, but I started sanding the imperfections out of my '56 T-Bird. So far, so good. Another coat of Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red paint and hopefully the T-Bird will be ready for assembly. The spare tire will just need polishing.
  9. Very nice, John! Almost like mine except I used a hood scoop from a Revell '67 GTX and Tamiya Metallic Red paint.
  10. Thank you David! WOW! A post almost from a year ago. Thanks again!
  11. Thank you everyone! My displaying this model is not to put down Tim Boyd's '69 Barracuda, but to show how this Barracuda can be built if one doesn't want a '69 Barracuda. I love the '68s without the peak on the hood. After viewing Tim's Barracuda, I want to build a '69!
  12. In issue #225 of Model Cars Magazine, Tim Boyd presented us with his version of a Day Two Car, the 1969 Plymouth Barracuda. I have modified the '69 Barracuda into a 1968 by removing the peak on the nose of the car and painting the rear taillights. I kitbashed a correct interior with parts from the '68 Hemi Dart and a 383 from the '69 Dodge Dart GTS. The interior is white with black accents and the body is painted with Testors Bright Calypso Metallic. The wheels and tires are Pegasus Shuey's.
  13. I loved the article on the 1969 Barracuda! I have done two '69 Barracudas as 1968s since I don't like the peak on the hood and front panel. They came out excellent!
  14. Looks good in white. Excellent job!
  15. No need to be sorry, Jim. I understand.
  16. I do thank you for the info, but I don't dare take the windshield apart to repair it. This was suppose to be a quick rebuild and it has gone on much longer than I had hoped for. It will stay as is for now. Thanks again!
  17. Oh, no I can't! Too much glue on the windshield to make it repairable. The glue is all around the edges in spots.
  18. I did some detailing today. After viewing some Google pictures of several '56 T-Birds, I noticed the rear bumper had notches for the exhaust and the windshield has blobs of adhesive and I didn't have any material to make a windshield, so I use the old one. I detailed the rear taillights and the front indicators based on those pictures.
  19. Thank you Keith! If you want this kit, I would make an effort to secure one sooner than later.
  20. I took it as a challenge to build a Mustang that my grandkids outgrew. A conversation with a fellow modeler at NNL East about the TV series Spenser For Hire got me to build this Mustang. BTW, excellent job on this one, Atin!
  21. Good looking truck! Excellent build,Tony!
  22. Thank you David and Carl! These old kits have a way of making us appreciate them. I suppose I could have added other things like a master cylinder and a radiator, but that would have taken away from the original kit that I was trying to build. I did add plug wires which I thought added to the kit.
  23. Thank you Tony! Simplified - yes! Unusual subject - yes!
  24. Thank you Jeremy! The Scout is done!
