  1. Thank you Anders, Chris and Jim!
  2. Thanks guys! That's all it was. Just a smudge from handling the model after I detailed the door gaps. It wiped right off.
  3. I have finally gotten back to the Coronet. After over a month of being sidetracked with other projects, I can spend more time on this. I got the engine wired, but I may try to fix the ignition coil which looks kind of sloppy. I added the TorqueFlite A727 transmission to the 426 Hemi. Bodywork is done and the Coronet is in a coat of Tamiya Grey Primer. Now it's ready for a coat of Dupli-Color Forest Green Pearl paint. More Foose Coronet to come...
  4. Another mock up to check body fitment since a few items were slightly warped. I detailed painted the engine compartment. One of the warped pieces was the roof top. I have been bending the roof slightly in the opposite direction to remove the warp. More Land Rover to come...
  5. I have finished my '70 Superbird rebuild and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have taken the time to view and to comment on my WIP.
  6. This is my rebuild of the Monogram '70 Superbird painted with Model Master Hemi Orange with a Semi Gloss Black Vinyl roof and interior. Bare Metal Foil and Molotow Liquid Chrome, Keith Marks and Slixx decals, wheels and tires from my parts box
  7. Thanks Tommy!
  8. Thanks guys! I'm happy that the paint is not tacky like the Model Master Flame Red was.
  9. Thanks Lou! It's getting there... I painted the the Land Rover grille with Tamiya X-18 Semi Gloss Black and the silver trim with a silver Sharpie. A mock up to check the fitment of the body on the chassis. Looking good! I left the coil wire long since the ignition coil is mounted on the firewall and not on the engine. So far, so good! More Land Rover to come...
  10. I'm not whining, just stating a fact. I had been with Photobucket for ten years and yes it was a "free" account, but when the uploading process starts slowing down and then I am locked out of my accounts with no way to download my pictures, that's what I refer to as "extortion". Call it what you want, I know otherwise. BTW, I have all my pictures backed up on discs so I really didn't lose anything. If Photobucket wants to charge for their services, then that is their right to do so, but it should be reasonable. I will use and promote another service even if it is free.
  11. Thanks Curtis! I hope it'll look a lot better when I get a coat of gloss clear on it.
  12. I stopped using Photobucket when they tried to extort (it's a strong word, but I think it applies here) $400 a year for third party hosting. I cancelled both of my accounts with them. Now they have their logo over the many pictures they host on their site and it ruins viewing the pictures. And, they are still slow loading. I have found a better site for hosting my pictures when I need it.
  13. I got the body, hood and doors in a coat of Polly Scale GN Big Sky Blue which is a close match to Land Rover Marine Blue. The color is a tad darker than what you see here. The flash washed out the color a little. More Land Rover to come...
  14. I have finished my '61 Impala SS 409 and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have taken the time to view and to comment on my WIP.
  15. This is my '61 Impala SS 409 painted with Dupli-Color Light Blue Metallic with a matching interior and built out of box.
  16. Thanks Jeff, but... I thought I had finished my Superbird yesterday and packed it for my Club meeting. When I unpacked the Superbird at the meeting, the rear spoiler had broken off in several places. My attempt at rejoining the spoiler produced a joint line that I didn't like. I traced out two pieces of .020 sheet styrene and glued them together. Now to sand and shape this into a spoiler. More Superbird to come...
  17. Thanks Tommy and Jeremy!
  18. The Impala SS 409 is coming together with the interior, chassis and body mounted together. More Impala to come...
  19. The Superbird is coming together. The rear bumper has been replated, but I'll add another coat or two of Alclad II to try and get a better shine. More Superbird to come...
  20. Well Tommy, you are correct! The front had chrome bezels and the back didn't. I guess I'll have to correct that. Thanks!
  21. The decals are on the Superbird! Now it is on to clearcoat in a few days. I want these decals dry! More Superbird to come...
  22. Thanks Trendsetta68 and Keith!
  23. I sat down at the bench this morning and started applying the Superbird decals. I hate trying to cut out the small decals, but they are worth it. More Superbird to come...
  24. Thanks Mario!
  25. Looks nice! Good job! The chassis is done until I can paint the body and install it onto the chassis. The body is ready for primer and paint. More Land Rover to come...
