  1. Time to get this one finished, Charlie! Then you can bring it to the next meeting for the Show-n-Tell table.
  2. Thanks Alan! I may finish the Land Rover today.
  3. Thank you Cliff!
  4. Thank you Tom!
  5. Thank you Larry!
  6. I have been assembling the Land Rover Series III this afternoon. I got the hood mounted on its hinge, the interior has been assembled and I has all, if not, most all of the parts painted and ready to go. The Tamiya Gloss Coat is not too shiny which is what I was hoping for. Assembly so far has been a breeze...no surprises! More Land Rover to come...
  7. Thank you Christopher!
  8. Thank you Christopher!
  9. Thank you David!
  10. Thanks Carl and Tom!
  11. I clearcoated the Land Rover this afternoon. This is two mist coats of Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear and it darkened the color quite a bit. More Land Rover to come...
  12. The huge pictures on this forum show EVERYTHING! On any other forum or website, the pictures would be smaller and some things don't show or just barely show. Here, I see the issue and correct it if I can.
  13. Thank you Anders, Chris and Jim!
  14. Thanks guys! That's all it was. Just a smudge from handling the model after I detailed the door gaps. It wiped right off.
  15. I have finally gotten back to the Coronet. After over a month of being sidetracked with other projects, I can spend more time on this. I got the engine wired, but I may try to fix the ignition coil which looks kind of sloppy. I added the TorqueFlite A727 transmission to the 426 Hemi. Bodywork is done and the Coronet is in a coat of Tamiya Grey Primer. Now it's ready for a coat of Dupli-Color Forest Green Pearl paint. More Foose Coronet to come...
  16. Another mock up to check body fitment since a few items were slightly warped. I detailed painted the engine compartment. One of the warped pieces was the roof top. I have been bending the roof slightly in the opposite direction to remove the warp. More Land Rover to come...
  17. I have finished my '70 Superbird rebuild and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have taken the time to view and to comment on my WIP.
  18. This is my rebuild of the Monogram '70 Superbird painted with Model Master Hemi Orange with a Semi Gloss Black Vinyl roof and interior. Bare Metal Foil and Molotow Liquid Chrome, Keith Marks and Slixx decals, wheels and tires from my parts box
  19. Thanks Tommy!
  20. Thanks guys! I'm happy that the paint is not tacky like the Model Master Flame Red was.
  21. Thanks Lou! It's getting there... I painted the the Land Rover grille with Tamiya X-18 Semi Gloss Black and the silver trim with a silver Sharpie. A mock up to check the fitment of the body on the chassis. Looking good! I left the coil wire long since the ignition coil is mounted on the firewall and not on the engine. So far, so good! More Land Rover to come...
  22. I'm not whining, just stating a fact. I had been with Photobucket for ten years and yes it was a "free" account, but when the uploading process starts slowing down and then I am locked out of my accounts with no way to download my pictures, that's what I refer to as "extortion". Call it what you want, I know otherwise. BTW, I have all my pictures backed up on discs so I really didn't lose anything. If Photobucket wants to charge for their services, then that is their right to do so, but it should be reasonable. I will use and promote another service even if it is free.
  23. Thanks Curtis! I hope it'll look a lot better when I get a coat of gloss clear on it.
  24. I stopped using Photobucket when they tried to extort (it's a strong word, but I think it applies here) $400 a year for third party hosting. I cancelled both of my accounts with them. Now they have their logo over the many pictures they host on their site and it ruins viewing the pictures. And, they are still slow loading. I have found a better site for hosting my pictures when I need it.
  25. I got the body, hood and doors in a coat of Polly Scale GN Big Sky Blue which is a close match to Land Rover Marine Blue. The color is a tad darker than what you see here. The flash washed out the color a little. More Land Rover to come...
