    2015 Bullitt

That's interesting, Jeremy. I built one as a tribute to the late Robert Urich of Spenser For Hire fame. I may have used the same paint!
  2. Thank you Tom and Lee! Tom, I did learn something about this mess I had created. Slow down and CAREFULLY read the instructions. I think I may have gotten cocky with this build since I built the Ford Transit Mk. II by Italeri.
  3. Thank you John! I'll keep that in mind when I get back to this build at some point...
  4. Thanks Steve! It is a great color and straight from the spraycan, too!
  5. I know, I know...it's humid outside, but it's nice and cool here in the house. I decide to paint the Talladega this afternoon with Model Master Royal Blue Pearl over Model Master White Primer and it looks really good! I'll let this dry for a few days and go from there. More to come...
  6. Thanks Geoff! Like I said previously, it will be much later
  7. Well, it has been about 4 weeks since I last posted about the '61 Impala SS409. Just for the heck of it, I placed the model into a plastic box and covered it completely with Easy-Off Oven Cleaner and I left it for a week. I removed the model from the box last week and using a stiff bristle brush and Dawn dish detergent, I removed a good share of the paint. At some point and it will be much later, I'll sand off the remaining red Model Master paint, reprime with Dupli-Color White Primer and repaint with Dupli-Color Light Blue Metallic. Then we shall see if the paint dries completely.
  8. Thanks Dominick! There will be more...
  9. I haven't gotten a whole lot done on the Foose Coronet, but I do have this... The hood louvers are gone and the hood is almost ready for primer. Just need some more sanding. I got the wheels and tires assembled. I started to assemble the engine and I drilled the distributor for plug wires. More to come...
  10. Thanks Guido! Been working on the Talladega today. I added the distributor and fanned out the wires to be criss-crossed later. I'll make a ignition coil as well. When I removed the fan and belt assembly, I broke the mounting pins. I drilled the water pump, engine block and the fan belt assembly for new pins. This should tell you a lot. I was on a 4-speed kick when I built this model, so I drill a hole into the floorboard for a parts box Hurst shifter with T-handle even though the transmission was a C6 automatic. I filled the hole and will added embossing powder and paint it all flat black. More to come...
  11. Thank you Steve, Bruce and Tom.
  12. I spent some time on the Talladega chassis this morning. Repainted the chassis and suspensions, detailing the suspensions, and adding the wheels and tires. The engine is coming along slowly. The distributor and the heads have been drilled for plug wires and paint touchups on the block. The hood and body were washed and now I am thinking more about painting the body and not worry about the decals. More to come...
  13. I've been thinking about the wheels and tires for this rebuild. The kit wheelbacks seem to be a tad soft around the edge of the rim. I decided on a set of Pegasus Chrome Shuey's with tires to replace them with. Then I drilled the distributor and heads for plug wires and I repainted the rear differential and the air cleaner and made a set of shocks for the rear. More to come...

    Volvo 760 GLE

Thank you everyone! This Volvo was definitely a different type of rebuild!
  15. Thanks Cliff, but Bond drove a DB5! Not a DB4.
  16. I may leave mine in white, unless I can find another set of decals.
  17. Thank you Curt, Steve, Anders and Rich!
  18. I continued breaking down the Talladega today. Some parts are coming off with the flick of a finger and others are requiring a little more effort. So far, nothing has been broken! I removed the grille, rear panel and the side mirrors easily. Time for a good bath! More to come...
  19. I found another model on the shelf that needs a rebuild. My '69 Torino Talladega! If I can find another set of decals for the Talladega, then I'll repaint the body. I'll take apart whatever I can safely take apart and repaint and/or repair it. More to come...
  20. Thank you everyone! Yes, the Borrani's did make a BIG difference and the paint turned out very well!
  21. This is my Aston Martin DB4 painted with Tamiya TS-30 Silver Leaf with a Rustoleum Semi Gloss Black interior, parts box Borrani wire wheels and tires and a wired engine.
  22. Thanks Steve! My Aston Martin DB4 is completed and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thanks all those who have taken the time to view and to comment on my WIP.
