  6. Great looking builds that I also would love to see more pics of. Would also love to learn more about your decal making process
  7. Nice work !
  8. Thanks guys. Yea Wayne thats what I was thinking as well. The art work is much nicer but there's way too much fade. Oh well 71 charger pm anyone . Knew I should asked for pics first though, can clearly see where some of the contingencies are supposed to go now.
  9. Is it just me, or does the rear and especially front windshield of my cameo fit like poop? Its just you lol. Sorry Luis, no that screen fits as you describe. Best way Ihave heard of fixing it is to lay a thin strip of styrene around/across the cowl (base of screen on truck) to build it up a little. If the version of kit you have has it there could be a dropped front axle to lower the front, otherwise you will have to adapt suspension out of another kit. Or you could z the frame at both ends although that can cause you other issues.

Fictitious dragstrip, going for an early eighties vibe so my 70's funny car builds will suit as well. Based on an old table top so its about 5 feet long 3 feet wide. Dirt bank, not sure I'm happy with it yet, made out of polystyrene packing. Once the armco and fence signage goes in front it might not be so bad. An armco and fence will go on the near side as well as the control tower with maybe a grandstand. Heaps to do just started yesterday, this is really intended for a photo background for some fun shots, but all suggestions are welcomed
  11. Gene Snow that is Texas oil (well lets say pretty well off) and drag racer. this is one of his many funnycars. the pic I'm basing my build off of I have the slixx decals for this build but the colours look all wrong for the pics I found, so I'm sticking with th kit ones and will use the slixx elsewwhere, kit bottom, slixx top Lots painted nothing together yet we all know the stories around him, please keep them out of this thread
  12. great looking build John
  13. You're not alone Rob its around $12 here for the 8oz can and $18 or so for the 12 oz ones but they're still cheaper than the Tamiya at around $15 for a small can
  14. these are the tail lights I'm using although they have been slimmed down a bit for a better fit. The tailgate so far is not the problem, the chassis does not want to fit inside the body, which is a problem I found on my Baldwin Motion build. It has fit previously in mockups so I know it will go, it just frustrates me that this kinda stuff always happens at final assembly. And although some have come close I havent harmed a model fataly yet.
  15. Thanks guys , Ever have one of those models whose fate it seems is to meet the wall at high velocity ? For me it seems to be Revells 69 camaros. the baldwin motion fought me and so is this one. Every thing fits well in mock ups everything looks good, but come final assembly and it wont go together. All of a sudden it cant slide forwards enough for the rear wheel inner wells to fit inside the rear wheel arches. It beat me ,today, tomorrow I'll have another go at it. Heres how it looks now
  16. The wife was away for the weekend (yay) with the camera (boo) so I quickly snapped a couple of pics last night. Most sub assembly's are done, actually most of its together need to re-mask and respray the white on the roof and figure out some hinges (not working, too lazy for that )for the tailgate. Still have a little work on the tailgate area all round, but most of its pretty close to being glued together
  17. looks pretty good from here Roger
  18. George, wait till you see his interior work, or the engine. Puts Tamiya to shame I tell ya.
  19. guys, you have not seen anything yet, keep watching, it only gets better
