  1. He wasnt the only one, so Thanks Harry . I spent hours on there yesterday after I discovered all the other female cover bands. I thought the ones covering AC/DC's thunderstruck were pretty good too,
  2. Thanks Ben and Richard. Richard, I used white, one layer is enough , no bleed through, however they were tricky to cut out especially the smaller contingencies . I have experimented quite a bit with the whole home decal thing and on clear doubling up doesnt help much even over orange which isn't all that dark. Pity I have two whole sheets ready to go of race car names but no way of printing as yet . I do all mine through microsoft publisher as thats what I have. Hope this has helped a bit.
  3. simply amazing John, something for all to aspire too. I'll really have to try a bigscale doorcar one day
  4. Very cool builds Jack and all super tidy as well, great work
  5. superb work John , that just looks so real ..................
  6. Thanks guys, it means a lot, hope you can see enough, all decals are made from various web sources sized and printed by me, still have a few more to go, bit hard on the eyes trying to cut around them all

  8. I'm with Chris, most excellent work man
  9. Awesome work man !! that chassis is very cool. Quick question, did you find the styrene chassis easier to do than the brass ? or was there another reason you used styrene? sorry that was 2
  10. paint !! decals in the next couple of days. 57 has been polished the mustang has not been cleared yet.
  11. or some thing like that . Not getting much in the way of feedback to bounce ideas off in the mainn forum so thought I'ld drag (sic) it over here real quick mockup to check for any wheelbase and/or any other fit problems no pics of the olds yet as that has its own kit chassis to start with. Colors have been chose for all four with artwork decided on for two so far Got a bit achieved on the first (and easiest ) this one will be Famine each car will be the color of the horse ie red for war, black for famine ,have a pic of the horseman and its name on it. well I hope I havent buggered it up though the test chassis seemed to fit alright, when I test fit its own the wheelbase seemed to be a bit off (about 4mm too long so I wopped the front of the car off and added some styrene 4x2 mm why 4x2? well the width worked out pretty good and the thickness keeps me pretty close to the right shape with minimal filler
  12. threw some paint in the direction of the stang today, came out like this no clear yet, might do the decals first in case I decide to add some more paint
  13. is anyone else doing this or not ? feeling quite alone here
  14. about 230 plus about 20 diecasts inside the house
  15. John , I really wouldn't sweat it .When I was crewing on my brothers top doorslammer (cross between top sportsman and pro mod basically) , between rounds, you're lucky if we had time to clean dust, rubber etc off the body let alone all the different liquid residues ( methanol ,oil or anything else ) that some how seem to coat everything exposed or not. Quite a budget operation by the way (his wages basically) blown BBC, 65 impala ( never going to be superfast or competitive just fun). Anyways keep up the fantastic work, thanks for sharing it, cheers Brett

The frontal droop looks a lot worse on screen than in person which could be a a bad thing as its the only way you guys will see it

Apart from a couple hours tomorrow morning, I'm busy for the next 10 or so days and as the weather has already turned to custard (ie wet, winters starting ), paint might be a little while off. But I started on the mustang ( war) tonight
  18. If I had ten thumbs ,they'ld all be pointing up mate, She's a beaut
