  1. Not having any removable body panels (1 laziness 2 body as mentioned is a little thick in places) means I'm not going to super detail a lot of the engine or chassis but have done a bit on the top of the engine so far couple of gratuitous mock-up shots
  2. been working on this since I finished Toms cuda, Flashpoint Resins body, topsportsman (modified)chassis, resin funnycar engine and four speed lenco. Aside from a little work around the windshield top the body's pretty good, a little thick in places but pretty good overall. As said using a modified (lenghtened) top sportsman chassis, cut off the wheelie bars and made my own using the kit ends (wheelie wheels)
  3. Before it fades into page 2 obscurity, did anyone notice its finished ?lol
  4. Jon, personally I would suggest the new Revell kit . Why? new mold so should be little to no flash, single piece chassis compared to about 7 pieces on the polar lights (they're a bear to get straight and square), any problems with any kit pieces or decals Revell is still around unlike the getting hard to find Polar Lights. Well that's my 2 cents I have built a Polar Lights Hawaiian and will be buying a few of the new Revell as money permits (excellent kit for other charger f loppers). Check out Lens build tutorial for all other info, its in the workshop
  5. I agree with all the above. Beautiful as always
  6. Thanks guys, its a nice kit for all its simplicity. With a little time it comes up as nice as a full detail albeit with no engine though with a bit of effort that could be done too
  7. Thanks Roger, until I got the decals (they came with the car) I hadn't either. Well its done, fought me the whole last 1000 feet, but I got there. Not real happy with it but nether the less, one that not a lot of people knew about and its in my shelf .
  8. very very cool, love it
  9. Model King reissue of the promo style 64 Galaxie, done as a copy of one of my older brothers cars

    64 Galaxie

not much to this one so its done, heres the last interior pic, I added the shifter after I noticed it wasn't there whilst taking the pic and a shot out side
  11. This is one of the wisest things I've read on a modeling forum anywhere and agree wholeheartedly. By the way Donald ,I think you are improving with each build, it can be hard to see yourself as we, I think expect too much of ourselves while trying to keep up with the Jones's
  12. I just used some dollar shop ones on this a few years ago I've had decals lay down a lot worse. leave to dry a few days before attempting to clear and even then only with mist coats at first. Probably better off using a gloss paint under as a flat underneath will probably lead to the clear bits of the tattoo silvering after a while.
  13. Beautiful Jon, and great paint too
  14. Thanks for the affirmations guys, got some stressful stuff going on here so its nice to get a bit of positive feedback . John I'm hoping if/when they re release the polar lights kits to do that and the Big John Maz kit.
  15. Very cool Rob. I lack the imagination to build like this
  16. desk (obviously lol) reference and a 140gb of metal behind me detail parts mainly for drag car builds with some hot wheels above hot wheels under above parts boxes stash 1 and magazine reference rest of stash and more hot wheels wife's kits and paint supply's and under my desk are three of those 3 bin drawer sets on casters full of misc parts and a couple of 16th scale unboxed funnycar kits
  17. Looking good man!
  18. For anyone who may still be watching , got blue on this morning and decaled one side and top of car this afternoon. The decals did try to fall apart but luckily I'd tested on the manufacturers logo and then sprayed with the testors decal bonder. Roof one has moved a little, but will have to stay as when I noticed I went straight back out to move it and it tore a little.
  19. I'm with Joe, very nice Felix

  21. Build is based on my brother and his girlfriends car (though I think theirs might be a 63, don't see them or car very often). Using the Model King reissue, the promo style one. This is the real one, excuse the steelie we were changing a flat at the time.
  22. They both look great Tom !
