    56 Nomad

Really nice Ryan, colors look great as does your foiling.
  3. Harry, I think he means the watermark. On another note I find it ironic that its a metallica fan crying about copyrite infringement, napster anyone? rofl

    My builds

you have some very cool builds there, all nicely built too. Standouts for me would be the orange rx3 and the craftsman style pickup (racer) and your car/ plane
  5. David 1st the car looks good, maybe not as good as you would have liked but I think most of us have this issue . 2nd white glue should be used to install all clear and chrome parts as its water based so cleans up easy without damaging paint.. 3 though this is kinda the pot calling the kettle black (I'm quite a fast builder) try to slow down, pretend your getting paid by the hour to build maybe . Goodluck with your next and next after that projects we'll all be watching and rooting for you
  6. lookng awesome already man
  7. I like it ! looks good Greg, I know what you mean about giving up and just finishing though but with the hood on whos gonna know ?lol
  8. Thanks guys, really appreciated, healths been um not nice lately so todays the first time back at the bench for a while. Got a bit done on engine and got stance finalised still have to do rocker covers (in base coat now) fuel pump and magneto and the zoomies. Also the pulleys and belt, also I realise the blower should have a blanket but will leave it off this one to showcase it a little
  9. beautiful paint work man
  10. very sweet man and any tutorials coming from you are A extremely welcome and B extremely informative. You've made making that mag (look)so simple I'll have to try it out regardless of whether I'll use it.
  11. Thanks guys , yes Rick I did. As more and more cars are using psi's (at least in Austrailia) I figured I might as well. The gold is a dollar store nail polish and the "black" is actually a custom mixed graphite grey (ppg) (made from left over dregs from about 6 different silver/greys).
  12. Beautiful John (as usual )

  14. wow, you have some serious work going on here very very cool. Love 36s the best of the early fords imho. will be watching this one
  15. Well getting stuck into this one at last . Got a couple of olds pro stocks off trademe (kiwi ebay), one had a started chassis (this build) .They had started gluing all the spaceframing to the floor then I assume found out they couldnt get the gearbox in or the seat and a couple of other fiddly little pieces. My headache I guess . Anyways after a LOT of bodywork (pinholes etc) a lot of test fitting, I have painted (finished after these pics) the floor and all the cage and have the base colour on the car. Motor will be a ford headed hemi with a psi supercharger and big 4 port hat. The ride hieght is set at the back and will only be marginally higher than what it is at the front (I hope lol) this wont be a highly detailed build as the body is way to thick in too many places to bother fixing for a shelf build. got second color on today hope to get bumpers and grille alcladed tomorrow, scratchbuilt psi
  16. Great work Niko !!
  17. The finishes you achieve time and time again, are what make your builds so amazing, the sheen(esp on the chrome ) looks so authentic if I hadnt watched your buildup, I would be thinking this like so many others could be the 1:1. My biggest regret (in the hobby) is that I'll never get stateside to these materpieces of our hobby with my own eyes. Do I wish to build as good as you? in a way yes (I am improving I feel) but in another if I were to bee the "best" who could I aspire to be like? Anyways thank you for sharing not only your great work but your passion to do things right and for showing us how along the way. Cheers Brett
  18. Thanks again guys ,as I said your comments are most appreciated
  19. I must admit I'm not the biggest fan of pink cars...... But I really like what you've done here. Its easy to get carried away with weathering but you've restrained yourself and come up with a most beleiveable replica/miniature model (whichever term you'ld like to use). Congrats on that.
  20. Really nice man! that color looks great
  21. Hey Terry theres some awesome reference stuff there!! Thanks so much for sharing it!
  22. Thanks folks much appreciated. Jim the color is PPG Barroise red metallic (its a late model toyota color ). Sprayed over a gold base. Donald, make sure you prime everything and sand lightly to smooth it (I actually thin my primer a little more for the interior so to not bury any detail). The dash was done with a thin black wash (you can soak up any excess paint with a q tip). Mask off the other color if its a two tone interior and lastly prepare to go cross eyed as you BMF the handles etc.
  23. Several 72nd scale ww2 planes most being blownup while suspended from the rotary clothes line by the biggest fire crackers I could find (though this was usually after bits had broken or fallen off them first) Did a few amt big rigs in my mid teens as my oldest brother was quite a truck builder and 1st car would have been the amt 57 chev older tool (about 85/6) which i still have in my cabinet, pretty rough brush painted (almost dayglo orange).

    1940 Ford Coupe.

I often do that too........usually its rear vision mirrors or radiator hoses. Keep at it, it looks good. Once you get some more under your belt go back and add some Bare metal foil, it'll look like a different car
  25. wow, thats so cool man. Oh to have half your imagination
