  1. One of the local clubs runs a charity run/show each year, here's the pics and link from yesterdays show, over 300 pics inside http://smg.photobuck...y%20show%20010/
  2. That's cool Jim ,and Really appreciated. The car should be a 68 but with the price I paid for it with the decals I'm not springing for a resin 68 body that speed city resin were/are? going to be doing. It'll mainly be a body down display anyway so will go with the Enderly hat and the kit based fuel system. Just trying to match up a pretty close blue for the body now. Local hot rod show tomorrow (usually round 800 cars or so), so will get pics up probably Monday. Thanks again for All the help guys, again it really is appreciated.
  3. Jim , it was me said/read that. Really appreciate you guys doing this though. I'm using the latest Mozilla Firefox but cant access The Drag List, Classic Funnycars. or 70's funnycar boards though Google doesn't even bring up a lot of results from a lot of forum/message boards or photobucket. Anyhow this should be enough to go with, not going for 100% accuracy here just don't want it to be totally wrong.
  4. Awesome guys, thanks . I knew I should ask here!! Jim I know the chassis is blue , my main concern is the injection setup ie Enderle style hat or Hilborn 4 pot. Have done plug wires, not sure that I want to plumb (too much modification for what its worth IMO), not so bad if its the Hilborn but the hat would need to be modified , then probably the tin work etc etc. Doug, thanks but I don't know too much, apparently he got the car from Butch Leal who then went Pro stock racing, so I assume early 69 season? Bob, the center stripe is gold with red stars in it and the rocker decals are red and also have a lot of contingency decals on. they're all going over white paint so it shouldn't be too much of a problem using the decals (Slixx).
  5. I can only find two pics of this car, this one and a really small one of the rear, with virtually no info whatso ever. Have Polar lights cuda fc ,have the slixx decals which give the paint colors for the body and chassis, have no idea what hat or injection setup its running, would like to know before I get it wrong..........again lol.
  6. AWESOME build David !! and that paint ..............what to say Legendary comes to mind, Wow
  7. Thanks Niko , got it pretty much done except for decals which Slixx are listing as coming soon soon, so I'll leave you with these pics till then really should have stripped that fire extinguisher , seam lined up nicely in mock up but once it was around that shaft with glue on it
  8. Think I have seen it before Jim but I wont tire of looking at it, great job again
  9. This looks great Dave !! Always loved this car and you sure have done it justice

    Thanks everyone
  11. Thanks Aaron
  12. Thanks guys , Bob, usually thats what I do as well but I just couldn't see the edges of the belts particularly well this time, did another coat of red today, they came up quite well. Paul, Done that Wayne (1320) pointed it out to me earlier . Don't suppose anyone has a spare set of decals for this do they ? Mine had a little damage on the tips of the flames on one side but otherwise looked alright, scanned them tested a piece of the logo which was good, soaked the front/hood and it half fell apart. Don't have and cant get white decal paper at the moment (nobody seems to have it in stock). Did a test print but it doesn't look to hot imo. Cheers Brett
  13. and lastly (so far) and half done s are jj monza and hirohata merc in my color scheme
  14. Did this on around a year ago. Used the 74 nose replicating a local car so built this one with the nose off the other (the 70 ).Other than that box stock.
  15. Started this a few days ago. I know the scoop is wrong but so many compromises were made with these kits, I'm just gonna run with what I have on hand. paints a lot darker than it looks in the pics
  16. Great work Aaron, never seen a pic of this one before (real car).
  17. Great build as always John , hope mine come out half as good (I have one of both scales 25th and 16th)

Well its done, has a couple of small fit issues (at least mine did unless it was me ) hood needed narrowing a little at the front (between the guards, bottom front valance is a little too narrow and the bottom rear valance doesn't quite meet the right rear side. Kinda my fault in that if I'd left painting till last I could have/would have been able to fix these minor problems But I wasn't sacrificing this paint job .
