  7. I'm definitely a few rungs down the ladder from the skill of Tyrone,so I use a lot of the 55/57 chev top sportsman kits as the basis for my builds. Theres some great resin bodies for Pro Mods out there...... Flashpoint Motorsports, Top End Miniatures to just name a couple, I'm sure there's some more that I don't know about either. Here's a link to my builds, as said all have utilized the top sportsman chassis and tin although some are slightly modified. You'll have to follo my sig and go to the doorslammer album because photobucket has locked me out at the moment
  8. Beautiful (wait ! what? ) lol, work man, very well done
  9. Thanks again guys , spent a bit of time wiring and foiling today, have to start on the engine soon thanks for looking in
  10. Mineral spirits is turpentine and it will eat enamel based paint. I usually rub the affected area with a q tip soaked in the baby oil as soon as It happens so am unsure what the long term affects will be from soaking in it (ie leeching into the paint etc). Sorry if this doesnt help much, only other suggestion I have would be to glue a small piece of sandpaper to a pencil end or piece of dowel and try to sand (with just a twisting motion) the blob down as much as possible .
  11. Looks like a great daily work horse to me. nice work

  16. Althoughboth were changed a little all the body stuff is straight out of the box and strangely enough the 56 that I haven't done yet is bowed out in the middle. more pis page 2 and 3 here http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v392/awesome55/tri%20fives/ don't think they are really any worse than the Henry j or possibly the others that I haven't built yet (Anglia etc).
  17. Thanks guys, had a bit of trouble with the tape for the masks but turned out ok I think Trying to decide whether or not to put the skull n flames on the scoop, very unsure after last nights tape dramas
  18. Thanks, got a start on the color now to draw out the mask templates
  19. Kenny,it looks good man! Here's my first, its about 25yrs old now only thing painted was the sump and thats streaky lol. It can and does get better but don't stress it, we cant all be Teresi's, Kemp's , Stevens etc to name a few. Have fun most of all, the best learning happens when you enjoy what you are doing.
