    My 2010 Builds

Some nice work there Niko, keep it up man
  3. Mines been doing it on and off since their upgrade, using the latest version of Mozilla as well. As in if I go to the second page on PB there wont be any pics there and if I refresh the view it goes back to the previous page then if I reopen the second page again everything is there again.
  4. Welcome from here to John looks like you're my kinda builder. Great builds too !
  5. What Charlie said , also wanted to add if you want to take the chrome plating off some the parts give them a spray of Easy Off oven cleaner, once all the plating is removed give them a good scrub with some non oily detergent then you can prime and paint as a normal piece.
  6. 30ga wrapping wire from radio shack
  7. Really nice build Jon
  8. I was just going to say that lol
  9. Same to you Donald:D, guys it's taken me about 7 years and a 150 odd cars to get my paint to where I'm consistently happy with it. Pretty happy with my detailing and have been going through all the basics again tidying up on them. It is I feel an ever evolving hobby/passion and nearly all I had done years ago that I was so proud of at the time, well some almost me cringe now . However they still share the display case with the newer stuff so that others as well as myself can see my progression. Best wishes to all and not just limited to the holiday season, may we continue to share and grow in our hobby for the rest of the new year on
  10. Me three great shots Dave, thanks for sharing them. Frank, the motor looks great so far, are you going to plumb it for nitrous?
  11. Great stuff Glenn, very real looking
  12. mocked up at our club meeting Anyone have any ideas on forming the windscreen ?
  13. They look great IMHO, the weathering looks about spot on.
  14. Hey guys, just want to say thanks for the awesome buildup tutorials, I and I'm sure many others really appreciate them,
  15. that paint looks great already Bob
  16. In our local equivalent to radio shack I can get red, blue and black wrapping wire but not yellow go figure (and its $15 bucks a roll) but I digress. I'll show you two pics 1st up my second wiring job ever using telephone wire from about 6 years ago and 2nd, wrapping wire done in the last couple of months . no way will I be going back to phone wire . Cant help with ford engine sorry
  17. I think you do some great looking work
  18. Hey Rob, looking good man. That nose art is cool, cant wait to see it all come together. As for straightening solder, unravel a bit more than what you think you'll need, leave it attached at the reel end then pull it tight with a pair of pliers . I'll usually wipe it with a soft cotton rag before cutting off the ends. Hope this helps. Brett
  19. as you can see paints not exactly the same , but I'm pretty happy with it so far still have a bit to do paint wise but will be too busy tomorrow so might get some more done this weekend
  20. Thanks John, Paint phase 1 and 2
  21. Thanks Niko, that car is awesome !! Thanks Todd, Ive sent you an email. Don't be too worried lol. Post up your pics, I'm sure everyone here would like to see them too. If you want to check out my other builds just go to my photobucket, pro mods are in doorslammer album Cheers Brett
  22. i agree on the Ford, even thought about hacking up an impala (66) and a 66 fairlane and trying to meld them together. My other wish list kits would be a 34 or 36 dodge coupe (do it like the AMT 36 Ford, could be done as a coupe or roadster) or 55/56 or 57 Buick,Olds or Cadillac. Dream kit however would be a fully detailed 16th scale Pro Modified 63 split window vette (supercharged not nitrous). (Most of the motor could be pillaged from the revell funny car kits).
  23. Thanks guys, much appreciated. Shane it's 30 gauge wrapping wire, got it from an electronics supply type store (Jaycar) I believe Stateside its radio shack. Hope this helps
  24. Thanks, will be busy for a few days so progress might be a bit slow, I know what I want for the paint job, pulling it off is another thing . Biggest hurdle to overcome will be the windscreen, thinking might be better to do before paint then mask rather than risk the proposed paint job afterward's ?
  25. more in the drag section, come on down
