  1. Thanks guys, gave it a light snd and respray today and gave it a polish with no clear to see what it looks like not bad but I had cleared the hood guess what I'll be doing tomorrow lol, finished up pretty much everything else on this only trouble spot is the head and tail lights dont fit in there housings properly so a little trimming is nesercery, wheels detailed and interior finished
  2. very cool Bob, I' starting this very kit but as a hot wheels paint scheme. When photobucket stops spazzing out I'll start a thread, meanwhile I'll just watch yours.
  3. virtualy NO MOLD LINES even on the chrome, every tree is bagged seperately. It all fits together like a TAMIYA. Alright the wheels wont be to everyones taste but I like them. rattle canned the body with a duplicolor acrylic/enamel , once its hardened up a bit more I'll sand it back with a bit of wet 2000 then airbrush a light final coat before clearing.
  4. Wow James they look great especially the bumpers, something thats very hard to get right. Heres a couple of my attempts, the 53 and 55 tow truck using railroading chalks and the 64 pickup using some of the wifes eyeshadow makeup.

    55 Chevy Hot Wheels

While I am also very aware of the getting little to no comments deal (good or bad I suffer too, lol), ya gotta give it a little time bro, lots of people only check in every couple of days. Right that been said, I like what you've done with this,I think the patch panels look great. One thing probably the only thing I would do if it were mine is dirty it up a little, (presuming this is a dirt car, I know nothing about roundy round cars).
  6. I really like where you're taking this one, and that new roofline looks great.
  7. Well thats gotta be a record setting wip . Car looks good Phil, and I see you got your chute figured out, that looks good too
  8. I'm liking it a lot! Those are imho the best ghost flames I've seen yet, killer work man!
  9. Tissue paper is your best bet, cut it into a +(cross all sides equal)and cut squares from outer corners( if this makes sense).Arrange how you'ld like it displayed and use Crankys whiteglue and water method as per his headliner tutorial. I would add the cords before the glue,it should help hold them in place.
  10. I think it looks great, although I think the big hole in the middle door is a little too big.But I do think it catches that era really well .Also remember when rusting things out where its rusty you want to thin the plastic down from the back as rusty steel is thinner as its rusted away.
  11. yes dad ,but they still too small. Jerry, photobucket has heaps of storage space for FREE, and its pretty simple to use
  12. very very cool cruiser man
  13. little bit more done, need to decide on which wheels and which scoop ie one I've been using the funky or the ribbed bug catcher paint and decals with original style scoop (one I've been using is soaking in oven cleaner so I can tidy up the join seams, will alclad if I use it) funky looking scoop, and these slicks are pie crusts though the pics not showing it kit slicks with a mr gasket style ribbed hat not sure which combo I like best, opinions? last gratuitous shot for the day
  14. Thanks guys. Jim ,I use those ties for all sorts of detailing.
  15. yep and sending apprentices to the parts store for lefthanded screwdrivers and non adjustable crescents or the paint (british paints i think) that was 3 colors (stripes) in one tin
  16. Well we cant say you outdid yourself again but you outdid most of us again. Your work is as amazing then as it is amazing and inspiring now. Thank you for sharing not only your stellar work but also your humble and willing to share approach to modelling. Cheers Brett
  17. Using the hemisphere for the basis of this build, flathead's been sourced from mainly the parts bins with only the block having a known kit from whence it came (amt 36 ford). not running any front body panels and hoping to reasonably detail the engine got some color on today and started detailing the engine, more to show in a day or two
  18. I agree with Bob, it looks great but we NEED bigger pics to drool over

    mid mill

had a bit of a setback yesterday, when I was clearing it with my ex trusty coathanger poked through from the back window it poped the back piller joints . So I finished clearing and then reglued today. Theres practically no putty in the whole chop so have sanded over the join and will mask it off and respray in a couple of days. Did get some plug wireing and the blower tiedown straps done. Now should I plumb the carbs? I feel that if I do then I'll have to plumb the nitrous bottles at the back which is getting in way deeper than I'd intended to
